My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm a Northwest native and now I work in healthcare. I like the outdoors, traveling, photography, reading, playing/watching sports, hitting the gym, and hanging out with friends.

I'm a driven individual and I am pretty mature for my age. I do believe that life is for living though.

I am looking for someone who can come hiking with me without worrying about getting a little muddy; someone that strives to improve their life and those around them; someone who would rather travel with a backpack than a caravan of suitcases, and someone that is authentic to themselves and doesn't have to follow what others tell them. Life is good attitude. Are you that someone?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated with a degree in Economics, Business, and Environmental Studies and now I work in healthcare. Eventually, I'm planning on going back to grad school for a masters.

Outside of work, I like to socialize, grab a few Portland beers with friends, and be active. I play golf, hike, read, plan for adventures in Europe, and just have fun. I also am a frequent attendee at lectures and Science Tap events as of late. I have also become active again in volunteering and using my skills in management to assist youth get on their feet through education and basic skills to obtain a job.

I am attempting to write a novel. Slowly but surely I'll make my way to the NYT Bestsellers list... maybe. It's a mystery novel, care to solve the riddle?

I also work with various charities that help children in our community. Primarily I help with advocates and clothing children in need. I also fundraise for community giving through my company.

One achievement I am most proud of was when I made it to the summit of a mountain in the Julian Alps. It was difficult, but I was determined, and never gave up.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a natural leader and problem solver. I often am considered one of those different thinkers, and I like to create solutions no one else sees.

I play a lot of golf, hike when I can, and I am tech savvy. I read often and go to lectures when available, so I love exploring social, political, and economic issues; I am fascinated with the human brain / human behavior. Recently, I have begun writing essays as well.

I usually surprise people when they find I'm out I'm 26. I am a tall guy, and a cross between a take charge leader and kind soul.

I'm a little mix of Frank Sinatra, Clint Eastwood, and Derek Jeter. Major plus if those legends are well known. Ha.

I enjoy reading, particularly non-fiction, but sometimes fiction as well. Podcasts are great too, like This American Life, Freakonomics, TED Talks. I also was captivated by Serial, who really did it???

I like a wide range of music. Alternative, classic rock, Americana, folk, country, bluegrass, coroners, classical, and most anything that is not produced.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- my family and friends
- my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
- my plethora of Apple devices and books
- my terrier, Duffer
- rain coat (I live in Portland, come on...)
- my Yankees in the post season
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Many things. I am always walking around in thought.

Strategies to obtain my goals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with friends, prepping for the next hike, doing some late night workout/sports, or just having a good Portland craft beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't want to live the real life version of "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen.

I also secretly try to play Pavlov games with people to make them say "this stinks," as they did in the 90's.

And yes, I sing in my Jeep when I am stuck in traffic...
