Texan who wasn't made for Texas. Moved out of Texas for school and ended up in New York City after. I go to far to many concerts as a way to make up for lost experiences from living in Texas. I love shooting pool and looking through record stores. Friend have told me I have a ridiculous sense of humor and my sarcasm keeps them around. I'm far from serious about nearly anything.
What I’m doing with my life
It's weird to me that I knew I was going to move out of Texas, go to college and get a degree in advertising photography and work in the industry when I moved to NYC. Then I completed all that and now I have no idea what I'm doing with my life. It's kinda like I took the 'what I'm going to do with my life' too serious when I was younger and now I don't know what to do.
I’m really good at
Remembering useless facts and random things about people. I've got a visual memory, but for some reason I'm pretty bad with faces. I'm also pretty bad with names too, so I'm going to apologize about that beforehand. I've been told I'm good at pool and finding myself in crazy situations.
The first things people usually notice about me
It usually goes like this.
Them: "So, I've just got to ask, what are you?"
Me: "Japanese, German, and Mexican"
Them: "Ohhh, that's different."
Me: "Thanks" 😐
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I liked most of Hunter S. Thompson's work, Kurt Vonnegut,
Chuck Palahniuk, David Sedaris.
Movies: So for me it tends to be more about the director then the
particular movie, but Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet),
Christopher Noland (The Dark Knight, Memento, Inception), Cameron
Crowe (Almost Famous, Singles, Elizabethtown), David Fischer
(Seven, Fight Club, Social Network, Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amelie, The
City Of Lost Children), Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream, Pi,
Music: Music is probably my next line of addictions. Bright Eyes,
Horse Feathers, The Kills, Handsome Furs, Crystal Castles, The
Blood Brothers, Modest Mouse, First Aid Kit, Sleigh Bells, Yeah
Yeah Yeah's, Laura Gibson. Overall Quite a variety, I'm willing to
give everything a chance.
Food: One thing I'm not picky about at all. Pretty much anything,
but I'm learning to appreciate food more and more as I live in NYC.
The six things I could never do without
The Internet (One and the same with the above)
__________(Insert something important here)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What if I had won that powerball lottery. What is the most useless thing I could buy. Maybe I'd buy Nick Cages T-Rex Skull, just cause I could.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hang out with friends, roam the city looking in record stores, catching a movie.
You should message me if
Your one of the odd/fun ones in your group of friends. We would probably get along well. People who take themselves too seriously need not apply.
