I am outgoing, intelligent, and beard.

My Self-Summary

I like to think of myself as a very social, genuine, and warm person. I've been living in Baltimore for almost 6 months, and I'm really enjoying city life so far. I'm on here to meet some people outside my work and friend circles.

As for some interests, I love checking out live music, arts and film, happy hour, and riding my bicycle around the city. I dislike being on any sort of schedule or having a place where I'm a "regular", so I tend to make up plans on the fly and explore new places whenever I get the chance. When I need some downtime, staying home with a good movie or some new music sounds perfect.

I dine out a lot with friends and I'm especially fond of sushi, Thai, and Mexican food. I'll cook too, but usually only if I have someone to cook with. I can make awesome homemade Buffalo wings!

I really enjoy traveling and I've been backpacking all over Europe. I studied abroad in France and loved it, mais je ne parle pas bien le Français.

What I’m doing with my life

I moved to Baltimore (from Buffalo, NY) because of a good job opportunity and the excitement of exploring somewhere totally new. I have no regrets and I plan on sticking around for a little while (either here or DC).

I'm an Electronics Engineer and I'm still trying to find my niche - so I really like that I'm in a rotation program now. I plan on getting my Masters in the next couple years.

I’m really good at

Walking up to random people and introducing myself. I can carry a conversation with almost anyone.

The first things people usually notice about me

The girl at the Tim Hortons drive-through told me I have really nice green eyes. I love Canada.

That, and I sometimes have the attention span of a goldfish.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Movies: American Psycho, Shaun of the Dead, Pulp Fiction, Children of Men, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Atonement, Snatch, (500) Days of Summer, The Emperor's New Groove

Music: air, andrew bird, badly drawn boy, band of horses, ben folds, bjork, bloc party, brazilian girls, bright eyes, chromeo, the clientele, counting crows, city and colour, company of thieves, daft punk, damien rice, death cab for cutie, death from above 1979, the decemberists, deftones, fiona apple, the flaming lips, flight of the conchords, foreign exchange, the format, girl talk, guster, interpol, IRON & WINE, jamiroquai, jeff buckley, jimmy eat world, JOHN MAYER, justice, the killers, kings of leon, lcd soundsystem, m.i.a., manchester orchestra, metric, modest mouse, the new deal, the new pornographers, nouvelle vague, oasis, peter bjorn and john, the postal service, RADIOHEAD, rage against the machine, the rapture, regina spektor, royksopp, the shins, silversun pickups, soundgarden, SPOON, stereolab, the strokes, sufjan stevens, talking heads, tenacious d, thom yorke, tokyo police club, vampire weekend, weezer, zero 7

Books: Been on a reading hiatus for a while, but (really) old favorites would have to be 1984 and The Golden Compass. I tend to read City Paper and magazines more than anything, but I wouldn't be opposed to some good book recommendations.

TV: I don't watch much at all, but Flight of the Conchords and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are pretty great.

Food: sushi, Italian, Thai... I'll try pretty much anything once.

The six things I could never do without

Close friends, good music, cilantro, the internet, craft beers, chapstick

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What to write in this box.

On a typical Friday night I am

Most likely dancing poorly somewhere. I also like to just wander the pubs of Baltimore with friends (Fells Point, Federal Hill, Canton, etc.), go bowling, or head to Harbor East for dinner and a movie.

Of course, if it's been a looooong week, I'm probably relaxing or sleeping.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I just bought the new John Mayer single on the internet.

You should message me if

You'd like a new friend, and maybe more. I'm enjoying being single for once, so I'm not really looking to rush into anything.

I'm just looking for some interesting conversation and maybe a few dates to see where things go.
