My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
this one's the hardest, isn't it? I'll go with wizard-in-training.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
healing myself and starting to heal others. growing, in fits and starts, into a leader and a teacher. exploring some interesting realms on the physical plane and otherwise. working hard and having an incredible time of it!

by day i'm a chinese medicine student. evenings are filled with martial arts, spiritual pursuits, books...basically keeping the imagination as well as the body and mind well fed.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
learning things. it's why i'm here :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
the fact that i'm built like a crane. either kind.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Ursula Le Guin, Neil Gaiman, Toni Morrison, Borges, Michael Gruber, Basho, Peter Matthiessen, Kipling, Yi Jing...

Withnail and I, The Big Lebowski, Respiro, Jean de Florette, plenty of others I can never think of when asked.
Twin Peaks, The Wire, Fawlty Towers, Seinfeld, original BBC Edge of Darkness series, nature docs (a la David Attenborough). Does anyone really read these lists?

Music is magic, like food for the spirits. I like almost all flavors but it's gotta come from the heart. Tom Waits, Afro-Caribbean stuff, early Bob Dylan, Bessie Smith and Louis Armstrong, Indian classical and Nepali folk music, Javanese Gamelan, Nick Drake, Eric Dolphy, J.S. Bach.

spending a lot less time latey obsessing about what, how, and when to eat. which means i no longer cook as many delicious things, but am also a lot happier.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
oh man...

less and less, i think. but i think i'd miss my passport, giant mortar and pestle, books, drums, herbs, and cast iron skillet pretty bad.

and certainly these: fire, water, air, earth.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Past and present obsessions have included the I Ching and other forms of divination, plant medicine, religion and ways of connecting to spirit, language and its power, games and systems of all kinds, sacred geometry and the structure of the universe...there's so much to explore! I used to be totally food-obsessed but that's changing--though I'm still a mean cook.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Not so much carousing these days. Probably it involves friends, food, talk and/or music. Or a book. I'm an in-bed-by-ten when I can get away with it sort of guy--but of course I make exceptions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It took me til a few months ago to come out as bisexual. Better late than never! Keeping secrets from yourself sucks. That said, I'm still much more interested in women than in men.
