I am honest, intelligent, and caring.

My Self-Summary

Howdy! My name is Jeff. As far as "goals and aspirations" go, I'm partway through college, have a job that pays well, and I'm always dabbling in starting my own business. I dream of seeing (most) of the world, listen to (most) of the music, and trying all of the cuisines. But, it really doesn't matter how far I can get if I don't have anyone to share it with. ;)

I'm a very honest person. I assure you my profile is accurate, and my picture is recent. It was taken today, 11/12/09. I really don't see the point in being in a relationship unless you are going to be honest. Hiding something or having to keep your story strait just takes all the enjoyment out of it. No, I'm looking for someone that I can let my guard down around.

As far as interests, I like photography, hiking, camping, cooking, trying new food, finding new music, and shopping thrift/secondhand/antique stores.

I'm very flexible when it comes to what circles I run in. I tend to hang out with goths, punks, and hicks the most, but I'm always interested in new experiences. Except hipsters. Screw those guys, taking my hick friend's beer and music. :P

As for you, I'm pretty open on what I find attractive in a woman. And I'm not talking physically. For example, taking these quiz questions, I really don't care what your position is on a lot of these issues. Not to say I wouldn't find your opinions fascinating, I'm just saying your opinion on a vast many matters isn't going to make or break whether I like you. I love finding new things, and that extends to people, too. If you were just like me, then I would never find anything new with you, now would I?

That said, this isn't my first time around the block, and I do have some pretty basic standards. Honesty and trust are important to me. I have to know I can trust you. You should also be able to communicate. If something is wrong, tell me. Letting it fester away is only going to poison the relationship. Really simple. :)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working at getting a degree, making enough money to get by, and starting my own business so that I have enough money to do a lot more then get by. Once that happens, I want a piece of property. Seriously, the idea of having my own home to do with as I please excites me to no end. I love building things.

However, I'm torn about it, because I also like the idea of never, ever staying in one place and roaming the earth from country to country, one amazing experience to another. I think I'll do the former as my normal life plan, the latter if I aquire an obscene sum of money.

I’m really good at

Well, let's see. I've been told I'm a great listener, good at solving problems, and good at being there for people. Personally, I tend to list my talents as more "trade" type of stuff. I'm exceptionally good at web development, which is what I do for a living. It's kind of nice being actually really good at what you do. I also can cook pretty well, I'm familiar with a lot of the basics of good food. While I can't rock climb very well, I can scramble like a mountain goat. If you can get up it without a rope, I can get it up without using my hands. Oh, and photography is another great love of my life. I wouldn't say I'm particularly good at it, though, I suppose I certainly don't suck at it.

The first things people usually notice about me

I haven't the slightest idea. Why don't you let me know?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Hmm. The internet has shifted the majority of my reading out of the printed word. However, when I do read, I find I'm quite fond of Tolstoy. I'm serious, I'm not making this up trying to sound smart or something. I'm not even I'm entirely sure that chicks dig guys who like long, winding books about human nature and development. But, that's my taste, so be it.

I love movies that are intellectual, that is, require a lot of thought to figure out what is going on. The more scathing of a commentary they provide, the better. Films in this line would include Fight Club and American Psycho. I'm also a sucker for anything with Christian Bale in it, and like all males, I have a special place in my heart for Batman. :P

Ah, music. I love finding new music. I am constantly open to trying new , music out, whether it be a local band or big one I just haven't run into yet. Currently, my favorites have to be The White Stripes, The Killers, The Strokes, Dethklok, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Johnny Cash, She Wants Revenge, Electric Six, Gogol Bordello, Cake, Placebo, Elvis, and Frank Sinatra. The only music I don't really like is music that has no soul to it, just words with an engineered sound behind it designed to be sold en masse at Wal-Mart. Genres included in this are newer rap/hip-hop and country.

And food. I will eat just about anything. I love finding new foods. The nicer the better. I want to experience all the different flavors of the world. However, I only eat fancy when I'm with someone. Otherwise, why waste the money on a new experience that I'm not sharing with anyone else? Nope, when I'm just eating at home, it's usually soup or cereal. I would say I can cook pretty well, I just don't bother when there is no one to cook for. Out of the foods I have tried so far, sushi is one of my favorites. To be more specific, I just love sake, maguro, and unagi. I also love most any other seafood, pad thai, a nice thick steak (served with a nice cold glass of milk), NY-style pizza (I know the best place in town), a good all beef hot dog, pretzels (I bake them myself), and many types of sandwiches like a reuben, panini, and grilled cheese. And let's not forget the staple, ramen noodles.

The six things I could never do without

Hmm. My friends and family. Other then them, I think I could do without quite a lot. I guess food, water, and shelter would round out the list?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I have a brain bent on figuring everything out. It really bugs me to not know why something happened or how it works. I spend a lot of time thinking about how things work, and if I could make them work better. Oh, and I'm constantly thinking about how whatever I'm looking at would look as a photograph.

When I'm not being a engineer in my head, I usually thinking about my friends or what I'm going to do in the future.
