I am a loyal friend, stubborn, and very caring.

My Self-Summary

Well, First off if you're looking for an extreme girly girl I'm not necessarily that. I can be girly don't get me wrong. However, I'm more the type that will join in if there's a pick up game of softball(my favorite), wiffle ball, baseball or touch football though it's not my favorite I'm always willing to try. I'm not a person that likes to sit on the sidelines and watch cause I'm afraid I'll break a nail or get a black eye (done that at least once in softball games.) I also enjoy a good video game. I guess long story short If you want a salad eating cheerleader type I'm not your girl :)I have been trying to eat healthy but good lord it's expensive!! I love going to Dayton Dragons Games too and hocky is a sport I can watch.
Hmmm, what else.... I like hiking at local parks in the area. I take my dog and she's even learned the word "hike" now. I like just going out where it's quiet and all you can hear is the wind in the trees. I usually take my camera along too because I love taking pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/theworldasicit/
as well I am also interested in horseback riding though I don't know how. I've done the trail ride type thing but it's not like knowing how. I've always wanted to take lessons and this summer I'm going to try and fit them in with work and school. I've wanted to learn for as long as I can remember actually.
Another interst I have is music (I play flute in a local concert band) and I enjoy going to concerts of all kinds, musicals, etc. I am studying for my Bachelor's degree in Social Work as well. I am almost done with my pre-social work classes and will be in the actual Social Work program for Spring quarter! Yay! I should be able to graduate in Summer 2012! Maybe sooner if I can take some of my courses at other universities! Hopefully I'll be able to find a job with kids! I want to work in the adoption field so far.

My friends would describe me as... very caring and loving, sometimes a bit nosy if i'm concerned for them. :) I would do absolutely anything for the people I love.

My ideal date is... going out to dinner I like trying all types of foods from other countries etc.and then a play, musical, concert (anything but rap),movie, Dragon's game, museum, taking a walk, hiking whatever. I'm a pretty easy going person. I like to do a variety of things.

The feature that captures my attention the most is... definately someones personality and eyes.

In our spare time my ideal mate and I would...
hang out. just enjoy being together and spending time with one another.

In your spare time you...
(Hang out with friends sometimes going to bars and listening to local bands. Watching t.v. and movies. Playing with my Jack russell terrier Lucy. Taking walks at a local hiking area. Working my second job (part time). Going to school. I really don't have a lot of free time. It seems like the clock just ticks faster and faster.) This is what I did before I went back to school. Now I work full-time and go to school part-time soon to be full time student also in the fall. It should be interesting.
Now in French
Je parle un peu de francais aussi. J'ai trois ans de francais.

What I’m doing with my life

I have been slow to get going as far as that goes. It took me forever to decide what I want to do when I grow up! I recieved my Associates Degree in 1999 and I am now attending Wright State majoring in Social Work. I would like to get involved in the adoption process somehow. I'm not sure why but this is something that has always been a part of me. My brother and I would always play "adoption agency" with my dolls when I was small. Wierd I know.... So the high paying career of childrens' Social Work is in my future.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at being a good friend first and foremost. I want to be there for my friends if they need me and I believe in telling people how you feel about them while you've got the chance. You never know what will happen tomorrow. A teacher once taught us this in a class in High school. Then 9/11 made me realize how right that teacher was.

I'm also good with children. I have always babysat or done activities with kids and they just seem to be drawn to me. They listen to me and like me almost immediatly.

I was also always great at softball. I played up to high school and really should have kept playing. I played pitcher, shortstop, firstbase. My teachers called me the vacuum cleaner cause I always caught anything that came at me. I really would like to start playing again and would love someone to join a team with. :)

The first things people usually notice about me

Would be that I'm pretty shy at first. I'm quiet until I get to know you and am comfortable around you. Then I'm pretty outgoing and have a somewhat sarcastic sense of humor and loving to joke around. Or if there are other's there that I am comfortable with I will be less shy with new people.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I had to read a book recently for one of my classes and i thought oh no! I've gotta read a book along with everything else i have to do! It turned out to be a great book. It's called The Glass Castle. It was written by a woman who now works for MSNBC (Jeannette Walls). She grew up with parents that had problems with alcohol and mental illness and didn't provide for their family very well or conventionally. It was amazing what her and her 2 siblings went through. Definately a good book and a quick read. I'm reading her latest book about her grandmother's upbringing around the 1900's in AZ. It's called Half Broke Horses. so far it's pretty good but her first is the best.

Movies I guess Billy Madison would be the movie I've most watched. It was a favorite of my friends and I in highschool. I also like the movie Horse whisperer. As for T.V. I must admit I loved the X-files. That's the one series growing up that I watched or taped if I was going to miss it. I like Moonlight, NCIS, Without a trace, John and Kate Plus 8 is great wonder if they're getting divorced! I hope not poor kids.

A Thousand Splendid Suns is also a great book! It is about women's lives in Afghanistan before and after the Taliban. It is amazing how they live and what their normal was.

Recently for a class I read a book called The Glass Castle. It's a true story written by a women that had a very intersting and different childhood. She and her brother and sisters grew up moving around all the time. Her father was an alcoholic with big dreams and plans but no means to actually do them. He was educated and loved his kids but couldn't care for them properly. Their mother was mentally ill (undiagnosed) and more a child than a mother to her kids. It tells of their life growing up and overcoming these challenges through pure determination. In fact her mother remains homeless to this day despite her childrens success it is her choice. It was a really good book. It was interesting to see how some people live.

I pretty much like all music that isn't rap. I listen to a lot of classic rock like 104.7 that type thing. Country is also pretty good Toby Kieth is on of the better country singers. the Killers all the way to musicals and classical music is something I would listen too. Music is a big part of my life and growing up as well because I have played flute for 19 years and am still in a local concert band when my school schedule allows.

I like any type of food. Seafood some, Italian would have to be my favorite though.

The six things I could never do without

I'm assuming other than food, water, shelter :)

My best friends Cathy and Joe who are like a second set of parents to me and always there if I need them.

My family

My doggy Lucy

My cell phone

A job

Transportation

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future, where will I end up with? I see a lot of my friends from High school settling down and starting families and think wow! when's that gonna happen for me. I also wonder if I'll be able to stick it out and finish my degree by next year. I am sooooo ready to graduate.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hmmm, I could be at home watching a movie or t.v. with the dog.... ummm out at the bar with my friend Cathy and her husband Joe watching a local band....At a movie with my friend Janice or working.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Wouldn't be private then would it.

You should message me if

If you would like to get to know a girl who can bait her own hook, yes, even fillet a fish, or simply catch a fly ball! :) Or you think we may share some common interests, and would have fun together.
