I am caring, imaginative, and spontaneous.

My Self-Summary

I'm a college student and writer. I love anything to do with nature (hiking, photography, camping, random frolics, thunderstorms, etc), as well as cooking/baking, and any kind of pampering I can give. And I enjoy the winter since it's the best excuse to cuddle. Ever.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working on my BA (yeah, it's taking a while what with moving around as much as I have recently) in History, as well as frolicking in nature as often as possible and being employed as much as possible.

I’m really good at

I've got a bit of a knack for writing, when I keep focused, though I seem to gather lots of projects and not finishing most of them. I cook in a lot of styles, learning as much as I can from everyone I've met, as well as baking for people as often as possible. Oh, and it seems I'm really talented at constructing sentences that flow, lol.

I almost forgot. Roadtrips. I'm a god of roadtrips. Planned, unplanned, spontaneous (sometime ask me about my 43 hour straight drive to Austin in the middle of the night)

The first things people usually notice about me

Not really sure, I usually have some manner of absent expression on my face. I tend to get caught up in random thought tracks or distracted by birds and flowers. I also make a lot of punnish and nerdy jokes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: a lot. Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Frank Herbert, Tolkien, and a number of other fantasy/sci-fi authors. Plus, modern classics like Plath, Bradbury or Vonnegut. I'm also big on historical non-fiction, focusing especially on pre-Soviet Russia and non-Classical Ancient.

Movies: Too many to list. Classic, camp, artsy, indie, foreign, it's all good. I love Labyrinth, Dr. Strangelove, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Rocky Horror, Love Actually, Roman Holiday, Dil Chahta Hai (mad props if you know/have seen this), Rang De Basanti (same props offered), Blues Brothers, Delicatessen, Dead Poets Society, Black Sheep (the one involving evil sheep and New Zealand, though Chris Farley is rather awesome as well)...the list goes on.

TV: Coupling (BBC, we ignore the short, failed, frightening attempt to Americanize it), Doctor Who, House, the Office, Babylon 5, Dead Like Me, Fraser, Futurama, Will and Grace, and Connections (another mad props opportunity).

Music: A random collection going from the Renaissance to today. Some favorites are Richard Wagner, Vivaldi, Bizet, David Bowie (who is something akin to god), Dave Matthews, Jeff Buckley, Miles Davis, Better than Ezra, Joni Mitchell (yay Sami people!), Dishwalla, Fastball, Pearl Jam, INXS, Tom Petty, Incubus, Shostakovich, Gin Blossoms, Gershwin, Billie Holiday, Buddy Holly, Glenn Miller, Billy Idol, Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, Everclear, Mazzy Star, Oasis, Nirvana, Paul Oakenfold, Queen, Talking Heads, Goo Goo Dolls, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so on. I'm also entirely unashamed to admit that I can recite/perform at least eleven Broadway musicals first line to last. I won't promise I'll hit all the notes though ;)

Food: I'm yet to find a country I don't like something from. Favorites, though, would be anything along the Mediterranean, Middle East, India and South Asia, and Central America. And fusion of those is nummy like woah.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Umm...I'm almost painfully cliche to my Pisces, Chinese Water Dragon, INFP type of personality. Sad but true. Read the descriptions for any and all of those, and you'll have a pretty solid grasp of me.
