Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I think this is the most awkward question on this
I recently returned to the Twin Cities after a ten-year hiatus
studying and teaching music to kids in eastern Iowa. While I loved
the communities I met there, I'm enjoying reconnecting with
family/friends and being part of a big city again.
By the way, don't read too much into all of the 13's in my profile
- I was born on a Friday the 13th, and have adopted the number as
my lucky number (aka, if you are highly superstitious, feel free to
move on to the next girl ;) )
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've got a beautiful job teaching the smallest of the small the joy
of music! When I'm not doing that, I might be tutoring (starting my
own business), dabbling in musical theatre, or spending time with
friends and family.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told that I'm a great listener, that I am easy to confide
in, and crazy loyal to the people I love.
That being said, my passions and skills definitely fall into the

Probably my smile- I'm a pretty upbeat, positive person, so I get

I love all things music - rop, pop, jazz, blues, Christian, country
- I appreciate it all and love to mix it up! I love the Beatles,
Ben Folds, David Crowder, Jennifer Knapp, the Beatles, Shane and
Shane, Jars of Clay, Sara Bareilles, Journey, pretty much ANY
soundtrack from musicals and the list goes on.
As far as movies go, I'm mostly into suspense, drama, and mystery,
although I can enjoy just about any kind of movie with the right
I have to admit that I like SOME reality tv shows- The Amazing
Race, Survivor, The Mole (anyone remember that fantastic TV show
with Anderson Cooper?). I also enjoy law, crime, and medical
dramas, and have also been an avid fan of Fringe since the very
beginning (although Sci-fi is normally not my genre) I'm also
currently very addicted to "How I Met Your Mother", "Sherlock" and
"House of Cards" on Netflix,.
Unfortunately, I don't do as much reading as I'd like, but really
enjoyed "The Help", "Hunger Games" trilogy, "The Girl with the
Dragon Tattoo" and "Water for Elephants".
The book "The Ragamuffin Gospel" is a book that I love reading and
rereading! Such good stuff!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Just to keep things interesting, I'm going to leave out the
bigger-but-more-"normal"-answers (Jesus, friends/family, water,
food, etc) and stick to some unique things. They're not in order of
importance, just some things I couldn't do without.
1. Hugs - seriously, I love hugs! Especially from people I haven't
seen in a long time.
2. The Internet - I LOVE learning new things, and therefore the
internet is the perfect place for me to get the answers I'm looking
3. My Water Bottle... no, seriously. Water is definitely my
beverage of choice. Not because it's "healthy" or anything, just
because I like it!
4. Music - period.
5. A Car - I love road trips!
6. Letters - there is something so special about getting
hand-written letters, either in person or via snailmail.
I spend a lot of time thinking about

where I'm headed in life. I'm ready to lay down some roots, but
still want to explore and experience all that life has to offer.
On a typical Friday night I am

Probably that I enjoy several reality tv shows. Not proud of it,
but it's true!

you are the real deal. I don't mean I want to get into a serious
relationship immediately - I truly believe that a great
relationship is built first and foremost on good friendship, but
I'm definitely not looking to be played (or to play others).
Bonus points if you are confident enough to sing (talent doesn't
matter - confidence is everything!), like to laugh until your gut
hurts, and don't mind occasionally making a fool out of yourself in
the name of a good time.
