I am honest, intelligent, and funny.
My Self-Summary
Oh god here we go!!! Well, first off I don't like meeting people
online. I like the good old fashion face-to-face where you get to
experience someone's energy, lifeforce, style of being, etc. Then
there is a natural attraction, or not. But I am "experimenting
honestly" with my life, so I am trying lots of new things including
online dating.
I am a social worker, meditator, musician with a rock band. I try
to be as open in my life as I can to growing as a person, learning
whatever I can about just about anything, and to communication and
connection. I am intellectual and love to think about life in a
deeper way (thus my master's degree in buddhist studies) but I am
also more of a right-brained person who is creative and esthetic. I
like to do things because they make sense, not because I am
"supposed to." I like Chogyam Trungpa, Ken Wilber, Mary Oliver,
Rilke. I like people who don't drink too much or use hard drugs. I
like people who think about the world they live in. I am
introverted and like other introverts. I have a big heart...
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to learn as much as possible before I check out! Trying to
expand my heart. Trying to be a bigger person that I think I can.
Working with homeless people for my job. Making lots of music,
playing my guitar and violin, and singing. Playing with my dog.
Learning how to be in healthy relationships with other awesome
people. Learning compassion as deeply as I can. Waking up as much
as I can. Being still. And moving. Alternately. At the same
time.
"Be what you are
do not be afraid
trust and try
experiment honestly
give your true being
a chance
to shape your life
you will not regret it."
~Nisargadatta Maharaj

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Well, having spent 15 years practicing buddhist meditation, I think
a lot about deeper questions of life, how to expand my mind, how to
go deeper into life, how to be more alive, how to be more sane, I
get tripped up a lot with choices: move, stay, go here, do this or
that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends. Either with friends, dining, on a phone date with one of
my best girlfriends in another state, making music, at band
practice, watching a movie with someone or just my dog, or a long
long walk with my dog (Lilah) in the dark, admiring people's
gardens.
