My self-summary
I just moved here from Miami this past April. Basically I just want to meet new people and I find that difficult to do outside of work since I tend to be fairly introverted. I'm not shy, just tend to keep to myself...'stealth', I like to call it.

If we meet, I will have no ulterior motives. People should get to know each other because they want to, and not because they're looking to fill a void.

I love inside jokes, laughing, spontaneity, wandering, sunsets, chocolate chip cookies, being active, going on long walks, grocery shopping, cooking and baking for friends. I also love learning new things (they don't always have to be important or practical).

Firm believer in quality over quantity in almost all aspects of life.

I usually test InTP, in case that means something to you.

Not so keen on: watching sports, partying/clubbing, being pressured to make uninformed decisions, stagnance
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a frontend web developer. I really enjoy it.
I’m really good at
Remembering 'unimportant' stuff in vivid detail, and forgetting those things most people think matter. Practical jokes. Being open-minded. Taking pictures of clouds, apparently (see Instagram feed). Somehow spilling wine out of my glass whenever I drink it (prefer red, so that can get messy). Dropping the usb end of my phone charger into various liquids. Delivering the occasional perfectly timed one-liner. Going with the flow.
The first things people usually notice about me
Online? My photo. In person? Not much that I'm aware of, to be honest--I tend to sit back and observe. Maybe my dry sense of humor or the fact that an American understands sarcasm?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I remember enjoying Catcher in the Rye, although I tend to go for non-fiction. The most impactful book I've personally ever read was 'The Omnivore's Dilemma'. I've been going on a reading binge lately, so I'd be happy to consider any suggestions you might have for me. Also, I own loads of cookbooks--they're one of the few things I have a hard time resisting purchase of.

Movies: Stay, Eternal Sunshine, psychological thrillers, indie films, smart comedies

Music: lots! even country... Really into music that falls into the 'indie folk' genre as of late. A few artists I've been listening to: Angus Stone, Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth, Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Explosions in the Sky, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Alt-J

Food: Eggs sunny side up, haas avocados, truffle salt, fresh bread, real Italian food, Thai, Indian...I'll try anything once though (or mostly anything anyway). Have a preference for savory over sweet.
The six things I could never do without
The six things I would never want to do without:
1. Human connection
2. Spontaneity & a sense of adventure
3. Conversation over a shared bottle of wine & meal
4. The occasional perfect-weather day spent outdoors
5. Personal growth and a passion for living
6. The ability to laugh at any situation & not taking life too seriously
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why London seems to be full of so many narcissists. Suppose that's just something you can get away with in such a big city.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 26–35
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You're clever, like to laugh, and think we might have a fun or thought-provoking conversation (preferably both).

You should not message me if you're never wrong, or if you consider yourself a judgemental person. I don't think these are traits to be proud of, and we won't get along.
