My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just moved to Olympia for a job. I've been here before. Once. For four days. The drive cross country was long, but Montana and Idaho were excellent. Looking forward to the chance to explore, do something new, meet new people, and escape Florida and the rest of the east coast.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Mostly I hike on weekends. I'm trying to find the best smoked salmon. I found really good blackberry pie. I go to the gym three or four times a week.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I know a lot about wine. I cook pretty well. I'm good at packing for a trip on a moments notice. I can argue with anybody about anything and I never get offended if they argue back.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm very social. My tattoos. The rather impressive amount of gray hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I should probably just go ahead and put this out there, I have two tattoos one is from the LOTR and the other is from a Song of Ice and Fire. Its possible those are my favorite books. And its kind of weird when random people ask to take pictures of my tattoos.

Movies: Godfather, Moulin Rouge, Casablanca, Once, Sideways, LOTR, and I really, really liked Wall-E.

TV: The Wire. Firefly. Battlestar Galactica. The Wire.

Music: I like music, but it is not something I'm real passionate about. I like all music genres.

Food: I've become a pescetarian (mostly). I just really like fish.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Wine. Mountains. Passport. Debates. Duct tape (it fixes everything from household problems to blisters hiking). A really good chef's knife. Tennis racquets.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's the best hike for Saturday? What's the best hike for Sunday? Why shouldn't I buy the smoked salmon from oly seafood? (I've actually never answered this one).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't think there is a typical Friday night. But I like going out to a dive bar, a wine bar, a decent restaurant, or seeing a movie. Or staying home. Or going to a house party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a most atypical affection for "My Fair Lady". It's a family thing. May not be the most masculine trait in the world, but I love that movie.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
As for friends, I like people generally, but I really like people who are smart and serious but don't take themselves seriously.
For more than friends: same as above, but the more I ruminate on this, the more I realize I like women who are vibrant and vivacious and self-possessed and challenging. Challenge themselves and the world and me. So, that. With a wicked sense of humor.
