So, OK Cupid wants me to expand my profile to over 500 words in
order to get a higher profile completion percentage. I don't really
understand how they can make that determination. I mean, if someone
can truly express themselves in less than 500 words, then who are
they to determine whether or not their profile is complete based on
a quantitative measurement like that? It just seems to be too exact
and controlled. Self-expression shouldn't be labeled by numbers or
measurements or by any other standard-- it should be free and
liberal without the barriers or restrictions of a nazi-like regimen
that require an exact minimum of five hundred words. It is
absolutely ridiculous-- or in a word; absurd. Again, this is only
if you ask me..
But anyway, about me: I love
music (I should since I play the
guitar) and I love to
sing. I love to
swing dance and a little bit of
salsa, but i'm not
very good at the latter.
I enjoy eating sushi, so if you can't get past the raw fish, I may
not be the guy for you. Of course, there are always alternatives to
sushi at sushi restaurants. Also, I'm very ambitious and have a lot
of goals for the future. I prefer to hang out with like-minded
individuals. Does that mean I won't hang out with you? Not at all.
I have friends from all over. Everyone adds their own flavor to the
stew.
Expansion continued: holy crap!! i can't believe this... now OKC
wants me to make it 1000 words. as if 500 words wasn't enough of a
trial, i have to figure out what else to dump in here that would be
at least mildly interesting enough or perhaps offensive enough to
keep someone reading. Now, i know some people might look at this
and think I'm just a huge complainer...
ok, maybe i do complain. but what's wrong with that? does that mean
i let it ruin my life? not at all!! i just like to see things
improve and you can't very well let things improve without stating
an opinion of what is wrong to begin with. that's a part of life.
if no one ever said to clean your room because it's a mess, you
probably would have never developed that habit. (some of you
probably haven't developed that habit anyway, but i digress.) My
point is, Life is great if you let it be, but life can be better if
you only begin to ask for what you want and not accept all as it
is.
ok, well, i'm off to make pancakes!! ciao!!
update:
I have reached 100%!! woohoo!!
Right now, I own two businesses and i'm trying to make those grow.
I also do contract work for a company that will probably become
government owned real soon if they aren't careful. As a single
father, I'm working on providing the best possible life for my kids
while spending as much time with them as possible.
dancing and playing music. i love to chat, too... get a glass of
wine in me and it'll be impossible to get me to shut up!!
i'm very opinionated. While everyone has one, I tend to voice mine
regularly. People also notice that i'm very sarcastic; which can be
good or bad depending on the situation. Also, I like to dress nice.
it doesn't matter if i'm going to a bar, club, or sea world... i
just like to dress up. doesn't mean suit and tie, but something
nice. I'm not the sweats and t-shirt guy.
