Why don't guys at least answer your emails with a no? I hate when I send someone an email and never get a response. Would it kill you to take 5 seconds and tell me you aren't interested? And why do so many people look at my profile but never contact me? Even the ones who rate me 4 or 5 on quickmatch. I have had quite a few who rated me 4 or 5 and I rated them 4 or 5, but never heard from them. What sense does that make?

It's not just guys who don't write back. Non-response is endemic on this site. OKTrends has some semi-interesting information about responding to emails.

It can be annoying, but don't stress it too much. It's not just you.

An image of sauerkraut_sean As has been said many times, not responding is a response. In addition, lots of people get really bitchy when they get a negative response, so the best way to avoid ugly return messages is to not reply at all.

An image of Lancelot56 No need to apologize, rant away. Its pretty much the nature of the beast here. Both genders do it. Many lurk, few actually bother to respond. I don't agree with it but its pretty much standard that if you don't like someone you don't respond, instead of being polite and saying "thanks but no thanks". Almost like your not someone until you have thoroughly been ignored. So its not you, it is them.
