My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
All you need to know is that I'm pretty awesome...just kidding. I'm 23, work full time, and one day when I actually have money I would like to go back to school. I was working on a fine arts degree with a focus on photography and art history. I love museums, and I'm developing an interest in architecture. One of my dreams is to go to Barcelona to see Gaudi's cathedrals ...I'm enthralled with his work. I love to read and watch bizarre films, and go out when I can. I'm a social butterfly. I love being around people, and I know how to make people laugh. I love art and adventures. Meeting new people is always exciting. I'm pretty mellow and always up for some good times. This is my first shot at a dating site, lets see how it goes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at Summit Racing, which I have been told is an attractive quality. I was in school for three years but had to drop out due to financial dire straits. One of these days I'll go back.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking. Getting to know people. Spouting off random useless trivia. Art, to a degree. Finding diamonds in the rough at yard sales. Staying up until the sun comes out. Hanging tough. And I've been known to do a spot-on Minnesota accent a la Fargo when I've had a drink or two.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile, my laugh, and my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love to read. My favorite books are Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides and I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb. My all time favorite movie is Harold & Maude. A few other favorites are As Good as it Gets, Being John Malkovich, The Shining, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fargo, and Dirty Dancing (my main guilty pleasure). I firmly believe that Dead Alive is the greatest zombie movie ever made, and that Jack Nicholson and Kevin Spacey can do no wrong. I like movies that make me think, dramas that aren't too pretentious, comedy that is witty, and horror that is thoughtful. I'm kind of a movie snob. I don't watch much TV, but I'm a sucker for The Big Bang Theory, True Blood, and Dexter. I also have a slightly unhealthy addiction to Antiques Roadshow.
I'm all over the board with music...some of my favorites are The Beastie Boys, The Beatles, David Bowie, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Girl Talk, bad (but oh-so-good) 90s pop, Paul Simon, Rodrigo y Gabriella, CCR, Cat Stevens, and The Pixies. As for food...you can never go wrong with Mexican.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A good book, gas in my car, a good CD to loop, friends and family that get me, my future tattoo fund, and the occasional night out on the town.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to do with my life. Typical, I know. I just know that something exciting and good needs to happen, and wondering how I will get to that point.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typically nothing too exciting, I almost always work Saturday and Sunday. Tuesday and Wednesday is my weekend...usually a trip to the local bar and a movie or two are in store.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't stand Forrest Gump. And I really can't get into the whole Doctor Who thing. Go ahead, crucify me.
