The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well,
where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving
boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a
penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French
prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize,
he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented
the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being
lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and
the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon,
luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was
insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty
standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe.
At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically
shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn
scrotum... it's breathtaking. You should try it!
What I’m doing with my life
Solving the labyrinth, loving it all the way.
I’m really good at
Pool. Now you know where to find me at a bar.
The first things people usually notice about me
My ambiguous ancestry: 100% happa. I live in many contexts, and it
may be hard to pin me down. And if you think its easy, let me know.
I love the ones who will make me an extra key.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I probably watch too much and read too little. I grew up watching
all genres and even studied making them for a while. But now I want
to give language a second look and read a good book. Non-fiction
seems to be more promising than the alternative, but fiction is
brain candy and I'm a sweet-tooth.
Music? I still like the new indie stuff, but I'm all over the
place. Never liked the top 40 unless it was coming from a car
radio, but I usually switch it to npr. Given the chance, ill hook
up my phone and stream something from Songza.
Food? I love it all. But I should cook more. Maybe you can help me
design a menu for Mon Appartement. I want to learn more vegie
The six things I could never do without
Camera, computadora, space phone, music, the city. My friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Alternate realities and virtual space, sustainable communities, and
whether our negative impact would make for a positive impact. Then
sometimes it's what I'll do for this world that's worth while. You
only live infinitely.
On a typical Friday night I am
Finding a new subculture in SF's nooks and crannies. I'm fascinated
by the tech shop and its precursors, hacker spaces and fab labs.
All the possibilities!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a total nerd and I love people who bring out my inner geekdom.
You should message me if
You understand that my indecisiveness is an opportunity for you to
do what you like ;)
