My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm creative and optimistic. I like reading and making things, and I love good conversation. I'm rather geeky, quite artistic, and definitely funny. I love animals. My home is filled with house plants and costuming supplies.

I love learning and am constantly fascinated by the world. Like trees, for example. And rocks. Have you ever sat down and really looked at a piece of granite? Do it. It's beautiful.

I should warn you ahead of time that I'm not actually in Montreal right now - I'm moving in March. Right now I'm in Nova-Scotia.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working on my dream, which is to be a full time costumer in film or television... or theatre, or cirque, or really anything that involves costuming. I might be returning to school for some formal education in fashion design, but for the time being I would rather have an actual job.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can write and speak well. I'm quite a good leatherworker, if I do say so myself, and am a passible watercolour artist. I'm also really good at trivia, because I tend to know at least a little bit about most subjects.

I'm good with knots, I've tamed more than 5 feral cats, and I can whistle (but not snap my fingers). I design things in my head (and on paper) all the time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to think it's how interesting I am. Nah, I'm not really that arrogant. It could be that I'm really short, or it could be that I look awesome in hats. Or whatever bizarre getup I happen to be wearing on that particular day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favourite book might be Good Omens by Gaiman and Pratchett, but I like so many books that it's really hard to pick just one. Others include: Reaperman, the Way of Kings, Tangerine, Red Planet Blues, Frankenstein, the works of Edgar Allen Poe.... My favourite authors are probably Terry Pratchett, Brandon Sanderson, Robin Hobb, and Robert J Sawyer.

My favourite show at the moment is Supernatural, though I don't really watch much television. I alsoreally, really like How It's Made, especially the segments that show people making things by hand, like musical instruments or wooden bowls or... I don't know, felt hats.

Movie: Once upon a time in Mexico, because it's just completely over the top and also Johnny Depp is there. That or Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

Music: I like my music to be either dark and intense, or mellow and hypnotic. I'm actually looking to try some new music, because somehow I have started only listening to classic rock. Oh, and I also love 60's pop. It's completely different from what else I listen to, and I don't know why I like it, I just do. So very, very much. Anyway, suggesting some music to me might be a good way to start a conversation.

My favourite food is probably tabbouli with pita bread - but I love trying new cuisines. I'm also one of those people who doesn't like their food items to touch. So, you know, heads up about that.

My favourite colour is green, my favourite tree is the monkey puzzle tree, my favourite spoon is the grapefruit spoon, my favourite herbal tea is honey-bush, and my favourite season is autumn.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Club soda
- thoughtful discourse
- my favourite mallet
- audiobooks
- magic based escapism
- pantaloons
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my next creative project will be.

Right now I have a couple sf/f world building projectss on the back burner, I have ideas for at least two paintings, and for costuming I'm working on a steampunk salvage diver. (But I also want to make some snakeskin shoes, a sixth-doctor inspired coat, and a leather duster. And also a different coat. I like coats.)

I also frequently wonder about the continuity of consciousness. (Are we the same people when we wake up as we were when we went to bed?) and the nature of time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably hitting something with a hammer, drinking club soda, and possibly singing a sea chanty.
