My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Martin Yan once called me "A good looking, sexy guy, and a master of the wok!". He had never met me, but did inscribe that in a cookbook to me. Along with three others. And this was in high school.

Pushing pixels during the days... later on in the night and on weekends I can work on my own photography and art. I've been trying to draw and build more. I can be rather inappropriate and not too mature at times as well. I sometimes obsess about things.... possibly food or video games or work or something else. My socks don't always match well, but I still make sure and match colors. I was once even complimented by a woman working checkout at Bed Bath and Beyond for my choice of colors in sheets. Really, I am not as much of a mess as it may seem. Constantly curious and love learning new and wonderful things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Figuring out when and where I will be able to view a total solar eclipse.
Searching for the elusive Helen Keller Quarter in its natural habitat.
Perfecting the constitutional.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
photographs, drawing, staring, constitutionals, checking things, getting distracted
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
hopefully my large eyes distract these people from my social awkwardness. I was dubbed "El Grande Ojos" by Puerto Rican friends.

cheese, mushrooms, japanese, spicy, avocados, baking, bourbon, bread, beer, stinky cheese, stinky vegetables (broccoli and brussel sprouts and such), spices, mexican, beet pollen.... my diet is a lot of cheese. i also don't really like sweet things much.

William T Vollmann, Annie Dillard, Murikami, Tom Robbins, Michael S. A. Graziano, Nelson Algren (reminds me of high school), Günter Grass, Tim Sandlin, finally read Moby Dick and loved it, I do love books but am an incredibly slow reader.

Errol Morris, Gates of Heaven, The Big Lebowski, Hitchcock, many documentaries, and lately lots of horror. Miike and others.

Animal Collective, Sonic Youth, Turbonegro, the Beach Boys, the Spits, Candy Snatchers, steel drums, AC[lightning bolt]DC, Hawkwind, Lee Ranaldo, King Khan, the Misfits, Zappa, the Minutemen, BDP... i tend to obsess over songs or albums and listen to them over and over in a row... lately Tame Impala and Thee Oh Sees

Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Cosby Show, the Bill Cosby Show, Eastbound and Down, Arrested Development, Tim and Eric, Portlandia, Kid Nation, Anthony Bourdain, Nova, Nature, the Walking Dead, the Simpsons of course, the Colony (a close tie for best reality show alongside Kid Nation), This Old House, football, and lately, Nathan for You. Also, Datetime TV... RIP Blind Date.

I'll add a couple categories, podcasts and video games:

Radiolab, mbmbam, npr (lotsa them), Savage Love, Throwing Shade, Judge John Hodgman (okay, a LOT of Max Fun shows too), Sci Fri, 99% invisible, Startalk with NDT, Bullseye, RISK

anything Zelda... really liked the Wind Waker recently. Mario games, especially the Kart. I admit that Second Life fascinates me (but too weird for me to play by myself). Sims as well, but not as much since I discovered SL. GTA, Goldeneye, Bully, Contra, Okami... There are plenty on my list but I just don't have the time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
water, camera/pencil, family, my senses, cheese, the sun
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
food... pretty much all the time. what will i eat next?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not doing a whole lot at home or elsewhere and relieved that i have some time to work on my photographs with a weekend ahead of that and possibly some baking and wandering.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I kind of love the show Cops.
