My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think therefore I am, but I don't exist because I think. Hmm, that doesn't sound as cool now that it isn't just in my head.

I'm just another schmuck floating to and fro in this ginormous world of ours looking for love and whatever the fuck else he can find... including the right to shamelessly write about himself in the third person.

I am smart, strange, and self-aware. God that's corny.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was attempting to get a bachelor's degree in Astronomy, but I switched halfway through to Linguistics because I'm a human and the grass always seems greener. Now I've finally found some work as a substitute teacher, and hopefully will find something in the IT field. I'm also thinking about grad school for linguistics or possibly law school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love questions like this. There's no way to really answer it without sounding like an egotistical douche, like "Oooh, I'm totally awesome at music," etc. etc. etc.

However, to answer it as honestly as possible, I have quite a few obsessions, er, hobbies which keep me good and distracted. I do in fact write and record a lot of music, some of which you can feel free to check out at http://soundcloud.com/jesus-h-lincoln/; I wish I could know how good (or for that matter how god-awful) it is without being biased either strongly toward myself or strongly away from myself in an attempt to not be biased toward myself.

I'm also a foreign language nerd; I feel that learning a bunch of different ways of expressing yourself and your thoughts helps to open and expand the mind. I also used to make cheesy, craptastic movies, moreso when I was younger, back in High School, and have been meaning to get back into amateur filmmaking for some time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably the red beard and Buddy Holly glasses (aka BCGs, Garths, or Austin Powers). Then the fact that I am a giant compared to 99% of the population at least, towering over all but the mightiest Adonnises among us at a stereotypically Teutonic 6'4". Then, if all that hasn't caused them to fly the coop screaming bloody murder, they might find me likable, if not quirky or just flat out weird as hell.

También es obvio que me encantan las lenguas extranjeras un poquito más que deberían a alguien... pero puedo comprar cosas en las bodegas que la mayoría de los gringos no sabrían que existieran.

Damn, after writing that I feel so pretentious...

Books: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Hitchhiker Trilogy, The Crucible, Inherit the Wind, Breakfast of Champions, America the Book, Earth the Book, a bunch of political books and shit

Movies: First, insert any list of "the best movies ever made." I'm one of those asshole guys who just always ends up agreeing with critics because I'm "into" art and shit. UHF, the Evil Dead series, and Pulp Fiction are three movies that pop to mind that I really love.

TV Shows: In no particular order: The Simpsons, Futurama, The Daily Show, the Colbert Report, South Park, Family Guy, Adult Swim, (Carl Sagan's) Cosmos, NOVA, Bill Nye The Science Guy, The Critic, Star Trek, the Twilight Zone.

Music: my own (musical masturbation), The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, Queen, ELO, Bob Dylan, the Travelling Wilburys, Weird Al, Charles Ives, The Reverend Horton Heat, Randy Newman, Lemon Demon, Jimi Hendrix, Hot Butter, Dave Brubeck Quartet, Boston, The Mars Volta, T.REX, Roxy Music, Ben Folds, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Nirvana, Simon & Garfunkel, and many many more that I can't think to list off
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My five senses and my life. I try not to get materialistic, even though in the end I'm ultimately as much of a consumer whore as everyone else.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. I'm a thinker, and I'd like to think a good one, but when you get to thinking about thinking it just gets complex and confusing and starts arbitrary pointless arguments with everyone around you about basic things just for the fun and pure unadulterated joy of debate. This is whither I tread.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Since it's typical, I'm doing something mundane like sitting on the couch watching TV, maybe enjoying a nice beer or kind J therewith to help forget the week's troubles and travails. However, I certainly try to have unusual Fridays as often as possible!

Honestly, I've been looking for someone with whom to get a bit more gregarious than I've previously been, and get the fuck out there and experience life first-hand... keep me on my toes and out of my comfort zone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, if you grew up in a shitty little town of less than 20,000 people like I did, then for starters there's the fact that I'm gay and willing to openly date a man.

There's not really much else that would qualify, because I don't really have many secrets except other people's. I try to operate on a policy of basic transparency; if my friends judge me for whatever, then screw 'em, what kind of friends would they have been to begin with, y'know?

I seem like somebody that, to you, might be interesting to talk to. I'm pretty much always down for a good conversation above all else.

Don't feel shy just because I seem coy. I'm a very open individual, and can find common ground with just about any decent person I meet. I can perhaps be a bit introverted at times, and can sometimes use a little help bringing myself out of my shell in new scenarios and situations, but I promise to make it worth your while.
