I have nothing amazing to write here. I'm not sure if that makes me dull or just ordinary or what.

I like cycling, reading, writing (not these bloody profiles though), gardening, playing guitar, cooking, eating what I just cooked, being outdoors, playing poker, spending some occasional quality time with my PS3.

I love films though seem to not have enough time to watch many at the moment. A few favourites in no particular order: American Psycho, The Shawshank Redemption, Serenity, Ravenous, The Spanish Prisoner, Withnail & I, Zombi Flesh Eaters. All good movies but I'll watch pretty much anything.

Same deal with music. I listen to a lot of genres and usually have something playing in the background. Coheed & Cambria, David Bowie, Cancer Bats, Brides Of Funkenstein, Chili Peppers (early stuff), John Coltrane, Gallows, Leonard Cohen. It's probably not super cool but I also love a bit of hair metal now and then: Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Whitesnake. I'm sorry, I can't help it :)

I prefer:
Country pubs to bars and clubs.
Trains to planes.
Coffee to tea.
Ale to lager.

For a living I'm a freelance flash developer. I have been doing it full time for 8 years or so and have been contracting since August 2010. It's going pretty well so far, the work is enjoyable (usually) and is pretty regular but I also get some random days off which is always nice (especially in the summer).
I also make films though this is really just a hobby. Me and a friend decided to have a go at it a few years ago and made a zombie film which lead to others. All no budget, all done by people who have no idea what we are doing but we are getting better at it each time and who knows, on day we might make something of it.

Making scrambled eggs

I am commuting 3 hours a day at the moment so am getting through a lot of books. I read a lot of sci fi but generally will give it a go if it has a good story.

I listen to all sorts of music but especially punk, funk, rock and a bit of jazz. Currently listening to The Bronx, Brides of Funkenstein and Black Spiders with the always present back up playlist of David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, John Coltrane, Pink Floyd...

I love films but as with books I prefer a bit of escapism to gritty real life dramas (though I will give anything a go and am often proved wrong). Recently enjoyed have been; The Kings Speech (good but I'm not sure about Oscar good), Kick Ass and Gainsbourg along with my default list of Shawshank Redemption, Serenity, Raiders of the Lost Arc...

Food - Anything. Love it. I particularly like indian and italian but it is all good. I'm not too keen on avocado or raw tomato but most other stuff I'll at least give a go.
