I've been working hard leading up to the elections, so I hope you'll all excuse my rant for a moment. You will notice that my profile says I am bisexual. I have faced so much ignorance and disrespect recently while rallying for equal rights that I am worn thin on patience with oppressive people. I am the person who talks to you 1 on 1 and tries to see where you're coming from. I am the one who tries to have a logical conversation rather than a battle even though we have differeing opinions. But now I have reached a breaking point. I try to be compassionate and understanding. But, there are some things I simply can not handle right now. So, if you believe that people don't deserve equal civil rights because they are different than you, I kindly request you don't waste your time contacting me. People who live with hate and/or discrimination in their hearts are not people I need in my life right now. Ok...back to my original profile now...

I think I'll call this the "Disclaimer" lol. If you are into zodiac signs you'll understand when I say I am a typical Cancer female. I am genuinely caring, loyal (at times to a fault), and would do anything I could for the people I care about. However, I am also stubborn and at times moody. I don't anger easily, but when I do, I have an Irish temper. Money is not a priority in my life. Not that I would mind having some, but I'm not going to be miserable every day to have some cash. That's why I am starting a charity. I can't imagine a better way to live your daily life than making a living helping others. I am passionate and have a great sense of humor. I truly believe that laughter is healing. I am sometimes a conundrum - insecure and confident all at the same time. lol And I am very open minded and appreciate that same quality in others. I don't believe in regrets - I belive in choices. Everything that happens in our lives is a result of the choices we've made. If something isn't right in your life, it's time to start making new choices. Life is made up of a long string of experiences and if we were always happy or always made the right choices, we would never learn anything new. So, I try to look at all experiences, good or bad, as a learning opportunity.

Physically...I am 5'5" short. I am a big girl. Dark brown eyes. And my hair changes color with my mood. lol

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am doing my best to raise my daughter to be a strong, caring individual who lives life to the fullest, though as a 15 year old, she definitely puts me to the test at times. I am working on starting a charity called the Kindness Revolution. (Money is the main obstacle at this point.) And I am learning to accept whatever life brings my way and make the most of any situation.

I am at a very interesting place in my life. At times it is an uphill battle, at times I get a little lost in my search. But, I am trying to enjoy the changes I am making without letting them overwhelm me. I am doing my best to enjoy the journey and look at the positive side of things.

Theatrical arts. I enjoy acting and directing and am pretty good at both.

Dealing with teens. My daughter's friends have dubbed me "Miss Momma" :)

Well...I don't typically ask people what the first thing they notice is. lol I'd guess maybe my smile. I try to always greet people with a smile on my face.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books - "Sati" by Christopher Pike, The Secret, Anne Rice, Lord of the Rings series, etc... I also enjoy books my daughter and I can enjoy together like "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and the "Harry Potter" series

Movies - musicals: Hair, Rent, Camelot, Moulin Rouge, Sweeney Todd horror: May, anything by Rob Zombie, Frailty, heck I even like bad horror flicks lol drama: lots! Amelie and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are definitely on the list comedy: Juno, Shaun of the Dead, The Princess Bride Sci Fi: Star Wars (I like the originals best), Star Trek, Serenity, etc, so on - I'm a movie freak

Music - Wow...so much! Right now I am loving Rogue Traders, Leona Lewis, Fergie, Metallica, and always Janis Joplin

Food - Seafood, Chinese, Fresh fruit...I am learning a lot of new things about food and trying to be healthier, so this may change daily as I broaden my horizons a bit. I do NOT, however, eat pork - eww.

And just for the heck of it...TV - Lost, Heroes, ER, ABC Soaps, CSI, Law and Order SVU, True Blood, Battlestar Gallactica and yes I admit I do watch some reality tv too lol
