I'm a short redhead who could best be described as curvy, and I've recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. Currently going to grad school at UT Knoxville.

I'm a military brat, so we moved around a lot when I was a kid; until my family moved here, we never stayed in one place longer than three years, so every once in a while I'll wake up and go, "It's time to move again!"

I love to read books and play cards, especially spades. I don't get to play often, and if you do, it's a bonus. What else? I quit smoking a few years ago, but I loved it, so I don't care if other people smoke.

I could ride for hours with the windows down and the music up.

When people get sick, sometimes they get cranky or just sleep a lot. I get cozy.

I have a cool head and a warm heart, and I'm not afraid of hard work. My family is the most important thing in the world. I respect myself, I have a soft spot for strays, and I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Also, I can bait my own hook. ;)

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an archaeologist, an exotic dancer, a fiction writer, a scientist, a sharpshooter, a mermaid, and sometimes a hermit.

Now, I work and go to school.

I want to have kids, eventually, and one day, I want to be a wrinkly old grandmother that everyone loves.

I'm good at herding cats. If I plant it, it usually grows. Cleaning. (No one likes to do it, but I'm good at it, so I'm listing it here.)

Note: My brother tells me to add that I'm bossy, and stubborn. :)

I think people probably notice my hair first, certain curves, and sometimes people say I have a nice smile. I have Irish coloring and Cherokee bones.

(A) I grew up on David Eddings, Lois McMaster Bujold, and various smutty romances. Now...well, it's still pretty much the same.

(B) Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Top Gun, Big Trouble in Little China, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, The Goonies, Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Oscar, - have I mentioned I was a kid in the 80's? :) I also enjoy more recent movies, but those are classics.

(C) I'm familiar with and enjoy an extensive (and eclectic) range of music, thanks to my family. That said, when I turn on the radio, I usually listen to rap/hip-hop.

If it helps, recent dinner table topics have included: molecular biology, extortion of seaside lemonade stands, Korean history, HTML/CSS, zombies, quantum physics, ninja cows, organic chemistry, stubborn cats, veteran retirement benefits (or lack thereof), investing, and martial arts.
