My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I make the best salad you may ever have - if I can come up with another 50 equally good recipes I'll get my own show on the Food Network.

One of my great passions is youth sports. I'm a middle school and high school hockey coach and love it more than everything besides playing myself. I had wonderful mentors when I was a child who helped me to become the success I am today and nothing gives me more satisfaction than doing the same for kids now that I'm an adult.

Every woman I've ever known has given me high marks for my dimples. If only they'd give me the same for my 2 o'clock shadow.

I’ve visited 38 states and hope to get to the other 12 before I’m 40. You’ll never guess which state had the prettiest view (sorry Delaware).

I try to be an effective Christian - loving, generous, thoughtful. On my best day I probably manage two out of three. The other days, well that's what grace is for.

If you're a thoughtful, fun, adventurous believer who skips over profiles with shirtless ab photos then I just may be worth a hello.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Here are my greatest hits since entering the real world -

Two weeks after graduating college I packed everything I could fit in my '94 Buick LeSabre and drove to Houston. I spent twelve months building a painting company for Home Depot...they shut it down after thirteen.

While I was there we were hit by Hurricane Rita. Everyone was still in post-Katrina freakout mode so it took seven hours to get twenty miles up the road. I ended up spending the night in the middle of the country at my neighbor's grandfather's house. Turned out not to be a necessary trip - the only impact of the storm was a short power outage and a fallen wind chime. I did earn a nickname from my friend's neighbor however - Smily.

The next year I moved to Washington DC. I didn't much care for DC but I did gain one fabulous memory - playing hockey every Sunday in front of the White House. We set up nets and played for a couple hours whenever the weather was nice. It became so standard that tourists started taking pictures and the Secret Service would wave.

I spent the next six years living in Raleigh, North Carolina. I developed a love for pulled pork, loud thunderstorms, craft beer, coaching youth sports, and epic game nights.

I've been back in my native Bay Area since last June. I've got a great career in IT sales. I get to make a good living having thoughtful conversations with thoughtful people - so far so good.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well there's the salad I alluded to - it really is the stuff of legends. I can also make a mean rum & coke. I can rock a stick shift too - apparently they're not making many these days.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Besides being an incredibly handsome man? Probably my dinged up Mazda 3.

Music: Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash.

Movies: The Thirteenth Warrior, The Wrath of Khan, Gladiator.

Books - Ender's Game and just about any good science fiction novels.

I like all food. Seriously - this is California, if it's coming out of the kitchen it's gonna be good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I can do without just about anything - most of the things in our lives are temporary. That said - here are the six most important things in my life:

My faith, the right relationship with God
My family
My health
My friends
Living with purpose - having a great reason to get up in the morning
My books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make a pie crust from scratch without burning it to a crisp or crumbling it with the first touch of a fork.

Where I'm traveling to next. Australia recently made the bucket list.

When the Sharks are actually going to get it together and win the Cup.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hopefully I'm meeting a beautiful woman from OKC for a drink. If not I'm probably doing game night with my friends. Speaking of which - check out RoboRally, hilarious party game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm awfully forgetful about little things. I'll be in my car about to drive off and then run back to check if I locked the door - it's always locked. I'll run down to my office parking lot to satisfy my paranoia that I put up my parking placard - it's always there.
