I moved from Indiana 3 years ago to pursue a career in golf. In the
meantime I work as a server/manager at a Mesa Restaurant. I'm
extremely down to earth and love to hear all opinions and
definitely love to give my own. I'm very passionate about learning
anything that illuminates the truth in anything.
If you were to ask any of my friends what I'm like they would
likely say I'm a jack of all trades. I wouldn't say I'm amazing at
any one thing but I can do most anything well. My mind is all over
the place. I rarely keep to one activity or place for too long. I
just get bored once I reach a certain level of achievement I
One thing has remained constant though out my life. I have always
been amazed by life and consciousness. I look out into the sky and
am enamoured by its complexity. I spend a lot of time thinking
about the meaning of life (if there is one) and what that means I
should do with my life. I still don't have it all figured out so I
find myself always trying new things and ideas.
I enjoy keeping myself in shape and eating well. I get to the gym
about 3-5 days a week. I weight train and play sports when I can. I
go hiking as much as I can. Being out in nature by myself is a
great time to reflect and put things in perspective.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend a lot of my time thinking about reality and how it came to
be. While not thinking about the cosmos or how human evolution
brought us to what we are now I work as serving/managing job at a
restaurant. It gets the bills paid and I enjoy most of the people I
work with but my greater goal at the moment is to become a teaching
professional in the golf industry. As a scientist at heart i enjoy
learning the technical side of the swing(geometry, physics) that
makes for an uncompensated repeatable swing and to teach it as
affectively as possible. I don't know exactly what my future holds
but I plan on doing more introspection into myself to live a life
as close to my belief system as possible which I currently believe
will lead to true happiness.
I’m really good at
I have been through many tough situations in my life and had many
female influences. I believe this has given me a great sense of
empathy for people who suffer with emotional issues and I have been
able to give these people a sense of security and understanding of
their situation. I think above all you must look deep within
yourself and analyze yourself as objectively as possible. Questions
like: When I get sad, angry, jealous, where are these emotions
stemming from? Is this a healthy reaction? If not, where did I get
these ideas and what would be a more rational response?
The first things people usually notice about me
I think many people initially see me physically and pick up a jock
or meat head vibe and write me off as a lady's man with likely
nothing going on upstairs. This couldn't be further from the truth.
I am much older than I look physically and pride myself on
meaningful conversations about a variety of topics which throws
most people off immediately. I kinda enjoy seeing the shock in
their eyes when they realize the book and cover don't match.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As for books: The Golfing Machine, The Metabolic Typing Diet, The
Fountainhead, anything philosophy or science,
Movies: Documentaries, Most comedies (Dumb and Dumber),
Shows: Two and a half men, How i Met Your Mother, King of
Music: My music selection is very broad. From hip hip to some
country. Emphasis on SOME!
Food: I love food. I really enjoy tinkering with my diet to see
different results in my body. I enjoy cooking. I'll eat anything
short of oysters, stuffing, and sweet potatoes. I think I just
threw up in my mouth a little just thinking about it.
The six things I could never do without
I could probably do without most everything. I would rephrase it as
six things I would rather not do without, besides family and
at least 8 hours of sleep a night
I spend a lot of time thinking about
philosophy. I try to live by my moral code. I have a good idea what
that code is but I'm still tweaking with it. I believe in truth and
empiricism. Without them how can anyone come to any rational
conclusions. I also enjoy learning about the psychology of human
nature and why we are the way we are. Maybe someday my
understanding will become great enough that I can really make a
difference in this world.
On a typical Friday night I am
working my serving job and maybe hanging out with some friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm really not that private. Ask and you shall receive.
You should message me if
you are open minded and enjoy good conversation. Someone who is
conscious of others and enjoys life. I prefer athletic women or
someone I can go on adventures with.
