My self-summary
Let's see...
* From Toronto and moved out to Seattle for work and I'm absolutely in love with the city. Mountains, water, great food, good music, good people, etc. I even like the weather!
* I like liking things, trying things, doing things, and generally being happy
* Love travelling to fun places I never would have thought to go to. Recently (in the last few years) I've been to Peru, SE Asia, Germany, and Israel.
* I don't own a dog yet, but I will (one that likes to run around), and when I retire I'll have a Bassett Hound named Bunker
* I'm kind of a foodie
* Love the outside -- hiking, skiing (done downhill for a while, but am just getting into cross-country 'cause of knee problems), walking, all kinds of sports but especially softball.
* I really like taking the bus to work since it gives me a chance to read. I've read some awesome books lately and that's why living closer to work or driving there is of no interest to me at all, even if the commute would take less time.
What I’m doing with my life
I meet with people, design things, brainstorm, and make stuff happen for a living. My goal for my career is pretty much to just keep growing; both using life experience to get better at work, and work experience to get better at life.
I’m really good at
Not really a question I normally answer, but...
* Helping people untangle a tricky situation
* Trying my best at anything I do
* Looking at the upside in a situation
* Taking feedback and getting better from it (I also try to be good at giving it, if asked for)

Then there's things I like to do but I'm not (yet) really good at:
* Cooking/Baking
* Playing piano
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my general happiness, enthusiasm and outlook on life. Others might call it optmism, but I'm pretty sure it's realism :).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Alright, so I'm not great at "pick your favourite lists" since I have a hard time narrowing down, so instead I'll just give some "stuff I like" lists.

Food: I like all food. I can't think of any style of food I don't like. If I had to choose one type of food for each meal though, it might be Middle Eastern for breakfast, Japanese for lunch, and "new American" (the kind of food they make on top chef) for dinner. The things I can't believe I left out are Italian and Indian. What would you choose?

Books: Harry Potter, Catch 22, 3 Musketeers, Devil in the White City, The Design of Everyday Things, Nudge

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Dumb and Dumber, anything written by Aaron Sorkin, anything made by Judd Apatow

TV Shows: Modern Family, New Girl, Top Chef, Glee, Smash, HIMYM (first few seasons, anyway), and some shows that are off the air (Lost, Quantum Leap, Seinfeld, and again -- anything written by Aaron Sorkin)

Music: This changes pretty often, but in general: Indie Pop/Rock, 90's alternative/rock, 60's pop, classical, opera, and just starting to get into hip hop.

Operas: Rigoletto, Barber of Seville, La Boheme

...I told you I was bad at narrowing down...
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order...
* Friends and Family
* Vacations to awesome places
* A job I really like
* Fun things to do
* Conversations that make me think
* Laughing
* Mountains
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I sort of have a Jerry Seinfeld style commentary running in my head. Trying to figure out why things are the way they are. Sometimes in a jokey/Seinfeldy way, and sometimes in a, "no seriously, why is it like that?" sorta way. Then I want someone to talk it over with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either going out for dinner/drinks with some friends, or staying in and decompressing from the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nothing! Why buy the cow if I'm giving the milk for free!
