I am clever, funny, and addictive.

My Self-Summary

So where do I begin? I've gone through a lot of pretty crapping things to get to and be the person I am today. Do I wish that I could have learned those things and gotten those perspectives without going through those things? Of course!, but would I trade them back if I could? Probably not.

I really don't know exactly what I am looking for, but I figured that i'll know it when I see it.

I'm really into cycling as you can tell from some of my pics. Since 2001 I've done the MS 150 every year with the exception of 2007 when I was out of the state. The MS 150 is a 180mile bike ride from Houston to Austin that raises money for the MS Society. This past year was pretty exciting even though they canceled the first day due to heavy storms. On the second day I cheated death yet again while I was going down a hill reaching speeds up to 42.2mph. It was great. I'll tell you about it sometime.

What I’m doing with my life

So during this past summer I interned at a small law firm in Houston, just getting a taste of what it is like. And when I get back to UT in Austin, I'll be working full time as a student trying to get his degree in Government and preparing for Law School. I will also be working part time at a local Congressional Office in Austin. After I graduate I plan on attending law school and concentrating on Corporate Law. When I have my J.D. I plan on working for a corporation that has peaked my interest and my wallet. I have a family ranch that has been in my family since 1925 and anybody who has ever had any contact with ranches knows that there is always some work that needs to be done. So I figure that with a profession that pays well I will be able to improve the quality of the ranch and maybe even add on to it for my kids and their kids to enjoy.

I’m really good at

Talking about politics from foreign affairs to domestic. Understanding how the government works and how things that happen at the Federal level effect me and how I can use those things to my best benefit.

Although I wouldn't necessarily wouldn't say that I am really good at this, I would say that I am better than most. I absolutely love cycling. Compared to the guys that ride in the Tour de France, I suck, but compared to your average joe, I kick ass. I have a Trek 2200 and yes, before a big ride I do shave my legs. Not only does it help a little when it comes to the wind, but also if I were to fall ans scrap up my legs then the wounds are easier to clean up. Plus it helps to tan my legs lol.

The first things people usually notice about me

well i don't know, you would have to ask them. I've gotten many different first impression responses from many different people. I'm half white, half hispanic, and my side that is hispanic is made up of mexican, french, and spanish. So all that diversity leads to some interesting assumptions. Anywhere from "are you jewish?" to "can I help you find the spanish section?", and no, I didn't make those up, I've actually been asked both those questions before.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: well i don't know, I'm not really into fiction books unless they are based somewhat on realistic terms. So you'll never catch me reading the Harry Potters or such. Instead I'm more likely to read books like Outbreak, Absolute Power, or the Winner.

Movies: This list will literally go on forever. I have over 50 DVDs and that doesn't even cover the list of the DVDs that I still want to add to my collection. But the genres range from action (300, 3:10 to Yuma, etc.) to romantic comedies (yes, I will admit it. I loved the Notebook and P.S. I love you too)

Music: This is a more simple category. I like most types of Rock and Country music. I really can't stand the real blue grass country, but the more popular stuff is definitely in my realm. There is one or two rap songs I like too, but those come from the movie Blood Diamond and have a deeper message which I do feel somewhat strongly about.

And Food: Well I like pretty much everything. Mexican being my favorite, followed by seafood. You will never hear me complain that I don't like a certain type of fish because it tastes fishy. that statement never made much sense to me. If you don't like it because it tastes fishy then you really don't like fish, no matter what it tastes like. But most other types of food are on that list as well. But just a little warning, if you ever go to Mexico, stay away from the mole sauce. It is a spicy chocolate sauce that the nuns at the convents would make and it is just so disgusting.

The six things I could never do without

1) My cousin Sarah, she is always there for me
2) The rest of my family
3) My friends Steven, Charles, and Daniel. We have been through hell together
4) My ranch. It is the lasting legacy of my grandmother and her love of pecans lol.
5) My car, Apollo (RIP). He was a 1996 Acura Integra who has over 247,000 miles on him. He had been with me through the toughest years and summers and was one of the only things that has remained constant. But sadly, this past semester he was t-boned and totaled. I now got a new car that I've named after #6. Its a 2009 Mazda 3 with stick shift...perfect.
6) The memories of my dog, Comet. He was the best dog a boy could ask for. Who died of cancer when he was just 9 yrs old. But the way he loved me and my family, especially my grandmother when she came to live with us will never be forgotten.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Life in general. My relationships with friends. What the future holds for me. And if I can't change the past then at least what I can do in the future to make up for it or learn from my mistakes.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either out with friends having a good time or driving out to my ranch to spend the weekend working away.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I really don't know. I guess you'll have to ask and see if I'm in a sharing mood.

You should message me if

you are interested in what you see. Or if you have any questions for me.
