My self-summary
Retired engineer/manager. Divorced, 4 children, all happily married and 7 grandchildren. I am so thankful and blessed with strong family ties, and the love my family shares. I consider myself to be honest, faithful, and generous. Somewhat of a southern gentleman who treats women with respect like a lady should be treated, like I treat my three daughters, and the way I expect them to be treated.
What I’m doing with my life
Retired and enjoying it. Traveling. Lots of family time; children and grandchildren. Love being outdoors; exercise; work out at gym, tennis, yard work, gardening, maintaining my vehicles. Taking care of my house/3 acres; handyman. Member of Patriot Guard Riders supporting military funerals.
I’m really good at
Fixing things around the house( pretty good handyman), inside and out, construction projects, hosting family vacations, dinners (BBQ's their favorite), various activities with grandchildren (ball games, AR Children's Theater, and occasional baby sitting with the little ones.
The first things people usually notice about me
Smile, friendly/outgoing personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books by John Grisham, classic country and bluegrass music, old time rock & roll, Blind Side, fresh veggies anytime.
The six things I could never do without
My faith, family, laptop, i5 phone, tools, workshop.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My family. Looking ahead to the rest of my life; planning ahead to pursue my "bucket list", and trying to find that special lady to share the happy times with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends or dinners with family
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Softhearted; not ashamed or afraid to show emotions or shed a tear or two.
You should message me if
You like what you see enough to check out a potential new friend who just might be that special someone, the soul-mate we are all ultimately looking for. You don't necessarily 'need' a man in your life, but rather 'want' someone special to share the good/ happy times, and the bad, to be a "best friend" and companion. No games, and not interested in "one night stands"; just not a good way to start a potentially good/special relationship.
