I'm not looking for relationships or dating or anything of the like. I only signed up for this account so I could search for guys who look like they'd be a good match for a friend in another state.

However, as long as I have this account, I figure I might as well make a profile due to the off chance that I could meet some interesting friends in my area.

I don't really have any irl friends that live close to me anymore. Most of the people that I was friends with in the past were primarily drinking/smoking buddies, and now that I don't smoke anymore and only drink once in a while I've lost contact with them. I haven't really had any friends that I could just go hang out with in a few years now.

I'd like to make some friends who are headed in the same direction I am. (See "What I'm doing with my life".) I'd like these friends to be local, too... I mean, it's easy enough to find like-minded people online, and I've made a lot of friends in different states/countries. The problem though is that since pretty much all of my friends are online, I end up spending too much time at my computer. This is definitely something that I'm getting away from.

My top priority in life is personal growth. This includes (but is not limited to) the development of wisdom, self-mastery, spiritual awareness, and strength of character.

I'm short. Once they start talking to me they usually notice that I'm rather unusual.

I'm a huge fan of James Allen. I get into a lot of New Thought authors, but he's by far my favorite.

I love anime/manga (particularly shonen and ecchi). I also watch House, Heroes, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, 24, Doctor Who, Poirot, etc.

I'm not really very into music... I usually listen to audiobooks or sometimes classical music in my car. I like most foods. I suppose I prefer Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food the most.

You're a straight female in the Milwaukee area who might be interested in hanging out. (ftr, I don't think it's wrong to be attracted to people of the same sex. I just don't want to spend time around anyone who could want more than friendship from me, male or female.)

My suggestions for what to do include stuff like playing board/card games or just sitting around talking. However, I like people who are good at getting me out of the house and doing something more active, so I wouldn't be opposed to suggestions like shopping, going to a dog park, or some kind of sport/recreational activity (depending on what it is). I tend to get along best with people who encourage me to be more active and like the unusual and/or philosophical approach I take to most things.
