Planning trips abroad (next up: Turkey). Reading large numbers of books on my daily commute. Taking advantage of the fact that I live in one of the most exciting and vibrant cities anywhere.

I've had women comment favourably on my height, so I'll go with that.

Thinking back to past relationships, I'm pretty sure it was mainly the things we didn't have in common that created much of the chemistry and excitement. But if you really think that we'll get on because we both like salsa dancing... well, who knows, you might be right.

After decades of fiction reading, I'm going through a major non-fiction phase. The last book I finished at time of writing was "The Social Animal" by David Brooks (brilliant book by the way, everyone should read it).

I don't really care much about the exact genre of music, or the people who produce it, so as long as I can listen to it or dance to it. Trance, 80s, and latin seem to do it for me. Mainstream R&B and 70s music are the only no-go areas for me (yes, I know I've just blown my chances with about half of the women out there).

Food - there's a cosy Lebanese restaurant near my place that is quite excellent. If you're good I'll take you there. Then there's Vietnamese, Italian, Mexican... Actually, I've yet to find a country whose food I didn't like.

Sometimes I cook (my full breakfast gets rave reviews). As I write this, I'm eating my latest creation. I chopped and fried chicken breast pieces until they were a little bit brown and crispy, but still succulent inside. Then I stir-fried onions, peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, and spinach leaves, and added the chicken, and some tomato sauce to stop it being too dry. Probably needs a signature ingredient to make it distinct. Suggestions?

I have a theory that a woman's attitude to food tells you a lot about her attitude to sex. I'm just saying. ;)
