My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
You really should just get to know someone in person, but here goes.

I'm an easy-going and opinionated person. I can be super analytic about things, which I guess contrasts with my creative drive.

Having been raised a dyed-in-the-wool sarcastic I think you'll find humor is a huge part of my personality, for better or worse. I have way to many inside jokes with friends to count, and will always serve up a healthy serving of wit. I'm one of those people who can recite lines from movies or shows I've seen once. It's a gift and a curse.

Over the past few years I feel like I've taken the biggest steps forward in terms of finding myself socially and personally - college was a shaky start but I finished strong and and very happy with where I'm headed.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from Cal Poly in 2010 with my BFA in Photography, and I am still very passionate about my work, which I hope to make a career of somehow. I recently got to work on the crew of an indie film production, and this reaffirmed my love of all things movies and I'm working to make strides in that along with my stills work.

After graduation I was lucky enough to find a job in SLO, so I'm here doing that, trying to transition into full time income from photography and videography.

Realistically it's gonna take a move to a bigger city to make a career of photography, but for now I'm having a great time living it up in this great town and loving the Central Coast laid out at my feet.

I've also been making somewhat shaky attempts at getting healthier - I'm pretty out of shape and a bit overweight for no good reason I can think of, and turning that around is on my priority list.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...a lot of things. Being a "jack-of-all-trades" is, according to my Grandmother, a genetic gift in my family. If I come across something I don't know how to do I feel instinctively challenged to learn it. As a result I have a large collection of seemingly random skills, although being a jack of all trades means being a master of a select few.

...second-guessing myself. Over-thinking things in general.

...taking care of people. I like entertaining and making people feel like a part of the crowd (as long as I do).

Favorites are hard...

I read a lot of fiction growing up, but now my reading is centered around the internet and information. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to photo gear, and I read blogs and things to keep myself entertained.

If I wasn't so engaged in editing photos I'd probably spend free time getting back into fiction. I miss the intelligible writing that puts most recent films to shame.

When it comes to movies, wit is good. Thrillers are good. Crime is entertaining. I like watching foreign productions in other languages. They make me feel smart.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
- a camera
- the ocean (pacific)
- friends & family
- delis (where would I buy sandwiches? did I mention I love sandwiches?)
- my computer (a tool for work, play, creating, learning)
- if you believe the Scientologists, my thetans.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the universe and my place in it.

...light and how it interacts with the world.

...what I should be doing with my life that I'm not.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
grabbing drinks with friends, shooting the sunset over the ocean, breathing deep.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is not safe for internet admitting.
