I'm a transplant from the San Francisco suburbs. A no drama, easy going, laid back guy. I like to go camping, a little fishing, the lakes and water, the coast and some hiking. I like to enjoy the simple things in life. Not crazy about the winter weather, more of a warm weather guy. I've never been on skis or the slopes, just not my thing. Not into the farm, ranch, or mountain-man type of life style.
I definitely want to get back on a motorcycle some day, which I love. My preference of music is Classic Rock and Latin Rock (just love Santana) and there are some newer bands that are okay. I'm not fond of country music. The oldies like Glen Campbell and Johnny Cash and a few others from that era are cool though.
I can be a bit of a goof and have fun when the right personality fuels it. I also have a serious side too. I like to keep organized and neat as possible. Even when things are a mess, it's an organized one! Don't let my age fool you. Still young at heart. It's all about state of mind. On the weekends, I do chores around the house or work on a project. Pretty much a home body these days, but I do like going out during the warmer months when I have someone to go out with and when the budget allows! And in the winter, do as the bears do, hibernate! Oh, and by the way, I'm a romantic, and a good kisser (so I've been told!).
What do I like in a woman? I'd like to find someone that's easy going. A woman that's strong in character and conviction but not so rigid she can't accept new ideas. I want to grow old with my best friend and hope that when I turn 80, kissing her is still the best part of my day. A woman that appreciates my independence, yet still reaches for my hand while we walk. She can recognize the sentiment when I make her favorite cookies or dinner because I wanted to do something nice for her. She'll send me reminders at work every once in a while to say she loves me. She's able to trust me and confide in me and knows that I can be her rock when she needs me. My ideal woman would be funny and appreciate good banter about nothing. She gets the humor in Family Guy but would be comfortable in polite company at my mother's dinner table. She's able to respect me and keeps our private life private. She can be emotionally attached to me but not clingy, needy, jealous or possessive. She'll sit on the porch with me and watch the people go by because that's a highlight of summertime. She can find the excitement in a truck load of fresh bark or how a car feels after you've spent the day washing and waxing it. She wants to do nice things for me, gets that it's give and take that makes life work, and has a heart for kids and old ladies. She puts her cart in the return at the grocery store because it's the right thing to do.

Continuing the search for my niche in the workforce and I think I found it! Just landed a gig as a Process/QC technician for a medical device distributor. 2008 has not been a kind year. I just keep trying and plugging away. Need to get ready for retirement which isn't that far away. Would like to share it with someone special.

A lot of different things, a jack of all trades. If I don't know it, I'll learn about it.

Never really asked anyone, but generally am said to be a nice guy. My female friends say I'm a "looker" though.

Books: Sci Fi. Arthur C Clarke is my favorite the 2001 series and the Rama series, Star Trek novels, all good writers, Contact by Carl Sagan was real good, and of course Tim Allens "Don't stand too close to a naked man" which I could hardly read cause of the tears in my eyes from laughing! Haven't read anything lately though.
Music: Classic rock, Motown, Santana is a fav, most anything from the 60's through the 80's. Not into Country or Rap but some newer stuff is cool.
Food: Favorites are Mexican and Italian mostly, anything grilled but will try different foods. I keep it simple though on a daily basis. ( I make a mean Chicken Cordon Blue)
Movies: A wide variety, too many to list here but a definate conversation subject though!
Shows: Dramas (Lost, Heroes, 24, ER, The Unit, NCIS), Sitcoms, (Two and a Half Men, 30 Rock), documentaries, a lot of PBS shows. And I like to watch NFL, Nascar and Wrestling. Hey, I'm a guy, what can I say!

Aw crap, TV, computer, a garage, laughter, friends, and a companion.

Everything, my mind just reels sometimes. Kinda like Andy Rooney, "Did you ever wonder about...?" (My favorite one of his was about car glove compartments and that there's everything in there but gloves, and if there were, there was only one glove of a pair) way too funny.
I keep a pair in mine.

Hanging out at my brothers house, shooting some stick, maybe some Wii games. Or stay at home watching shows and chatting on the internet.

You would think that you have to get to know someone first for this one.
