My self-summary
Right now I'm focused on living a happy and healthy lifestyle. Exercise and eating right are important to me and I recently started CrossFit and have been eating a Paleo diet (mostly) for several months now. I'm looking forward to getting back to rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking and being more active again. I'll try almost anything once and have a constant drive to learn make myself a better person than I was the day before.

I still watch my Detroit sports teams. I love hockey and wish I learned this earlier in life.

Lately I've been thinking about shifting my career back to what my degree is in so that I can live abroad and still make good money. Italy and Greece are never far from my thoughts.

I find urban ruins incredibly beautiful. Might have something to do with where I grew up.

Sometimes my conversations sound like something from 30 Rock. Seriously, it's eerie that I don't write that dialogue.

Random facts:
I have gambled in a top hat.
I have stared down a sea lion in the wild.
I have drank with a crocodile.
I have slept in a haunted house.
I have fallen faster than 140 miles per hour.
What I’m doing with my life
Working to keep a network running for a biotech company downtown. It feels good to go home at night knowing that what I do helps people live longer.
I’m really good at
Keeping my friends laughing and smiling, driving - it's required in Motown, talking my way out of tickets, cooking, being there for my friends when they need it most, making origami pterodactyls.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Lots, but right now I'm reading A Song of Ice and Fire and Dune. I just finished up with Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. Favorites include Good Omens, The Power of Myth, and The Black Dahlia.

Movies - I love movies! Double Indemnity, Chinatown (anything film noir), Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Casablanca, Goonies, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Better Off Dead, Seven Samurai, Fistful of Dollars/For a Few Dollars More/The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, Shaft. I do have a guilty pleasure but I'm not saying what....

TV - Netflixed or DVR'ed episodes of Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Arrested Development, Bob's Burgers, Conan, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Game of Thrones, Seinfeld, Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead.

Music - Social Distortion, The Gaslight Anthem, Rise Against, The Weeks, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Iggy and The Stooges, David Bowie, The Clash, The Cure, Depeche Mode, They Promised Us Jetpacks, Two Door Cinema Club, Foster The People, The Avalanches, Bob Seger, Michael Jackson, Prince, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, The Spinners, The Temptations, Sam Cooke. Seriously, I've stopped mid-conversation to listen to Sam if he's playing. I'll listen to just about anything depending on the mood I'm in or what I'm doing.

Food - Mediterranean. Greek, Lebanese, Italian. I love anything spicy.
The six things I could never do without
My family
The open road, my hand on the wheel and the radio up loud. If I really need to think something out, I'll road trip over the mountains for a day.
Wide open spaces
Water
Sunshine
Otters that look like Benedict Cumberbatch

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make myself and the world better than they were the day before.

What's happening in Detroit.

Planning my trip to Lithuania.

Things I haven't done yet (surfing/sailing/high fiving a panda) or places I haven't been yet (New Orleans/Morocco/Southern France/Romania/Poland/New Zealand).
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, getting a late work out in, or working late.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once ran into a tree... three times... in the same day... in the same game of football. It was the only tree in a 3 acre field.

I hate that tree.

You're into doing some new and exciting things around Seattle or want to explore something cool that we might not have seen before. Anything from checking out a gallery showing to hiking up a mountain to waxing intellectual over a cup of coffee at some awesome little cafe.
