Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New to seattle and I absolutely love it! Seriously...it it so
wonderful to be in place with other people who are interested in
the same things I am and it doesn't hurt that every single day I
get to see something beautiful (rain or shine). I have only been
here for about three months...all the way from North Carolina...and
I feel like I am where I should be. Life is pretty much amazing
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Graduated from UNC-CH (go heels!) in 2010...worked at Duke hospital
for a couple of years all the while knowing that I wanted to go to
medical school...I worked in a lab and definitely needed more
patient interaction...plus I love to learn! I though traditional
medical school but when I heard about Bastyr I knew it was for
me...so currently I am rocking my first year here in the
Naturopathic Doctorate program. For those of you unsure what
Naturopathy is it is a medicine that attempts to restore a person
to balance with the least force possible. We kind of believe that
everyone is already in possession of what they need to be well and
as doctors we simply facilitate it by removing the obstacles and
intervening when absolutely necessary. It is something I am
passionate about and is how I would want to be treated as a
patient. The schooling is pretty intense but learning about
something that is going to help others keeps me going...plus some
really great coffee shops and even better friends
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
enjoying the moment...for the past four or five years I have pretty
much developed a lifestyle that is free of stress...I don't really
see a point in it and am simply here to be myself and have a good
time doing it. I am also a good listener...sometimes I would much
prefer listening than talking
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
hopefully they notice a sense of calm that I try to radiate out
into the world...appearance wise I like to smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

i'm in to any kind of music and am not one of those people that
really pays attention to who sings what because it isn't that
important to me...but if the music is good i'm happy.
same goes with movies...no critic here...aka I am easily
entertained. I just love going to the movies...one thing I haven't
been able to do since school started but plan on doing over
Hands down Friends is my all time favorite TV show...current shows
would include Modern Family, Happy Endings...Dowton Abbey which I
thought was going to be super boring but turned out to be really
amazing. I did however watch it on Netflix (at work) with no sound
so I did the British accents in my head...not sure what the
characters actually sound like
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my entire family, friends, yoga, the outdoors, and...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Honestly this may sound weird but there is nothing I really harp
over...I try to think about what is happening when it is happening.
If I am thinking about the past or the future than I am not really
taking part in what is around me
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Currently my Friday nights have been spent at coffee shops...finals
week...but usually there is life music so that makes it a little
less nerdy. When I am not studying for a test Friday night could be
anything...I am still so new to the city that I have a lot of
exploring to do. This Friday I am headed to a concert in Ballard :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am bad at confrontation...not like yelling...I can't remember the
last time I raised my voice at anything....but sometimes I am
afraid to say what I really want to just to avoid a 'situation'. I
am getting better at it though because I need to take care of
myself the way I take care of others

you feel like you have something to offer...I love learning from

have done the long distance thing and am kind of looking for
