I love to travel and to be outdoors. In my off time, that is what I do mostly. I've been to 15 different countries now, and want to go to them all before I die! Seeing as there are over 200, its gonna be a good race! Backpacking is something that I miss doing on a regular basis ever since I moved from where it was a short drive. I really wish I lived in the Rockies or at the very least, the Appalachians so I could do it on a regular basis. I love brewing beer. I am not super creative, but this is something that I can do to make something that is different, and that I can enjoy! Trying different beer that I have never had before is also a good time. I am kind of a greenie. I love recycling and get pissed when I see people throw stuff away that can be recycled haha. Dork, I know! I just feel that if everyone did their part, they could at least reduce waste considerably. It is truely amazing how much stuff you through away that can be recycled. Try it out for a week and see for yourself!

I am an airline pilot based here in Louisville. I have been flying for about 7 years, ever since I was in high school. As of lately, I sit around on call and don't fly much, so I have a lot of free time which is nice in a way, but pretty boring. I am currently finishing up my Masters so I can do something other than flying whenever I get tired of it. I don't know when that will be, but I figure it will eventually happen. I think I want to do something environmentally related. Something that combines flying and green initiatives. That is what my thesis is on. Like I said above, I am kind of a greenie :) Don't hate!

Being there when my friends need me, either for fun or when they are having problems with something. I also think I am decent at carrying on a conversation, but only once it is started. I suck at talking to new people. But once that first sentence is said, I am good! No clue why, but it is annoying!

I would say the first thing people notice about me is my redhair or my green eyes. You can't miss a redhead since there are so few of us! Go gingers ;) And I have been told that people really like my green eyes. Seeing as I can't see them except in a mirrow, I will take their word for it!

Books:I like to read National Geographic magazines to try to learn about the world. I love reading classic books that I never got to read in school. Here lately, I have only been reading papers for my Master's thesis though. Ugh...

Movies:I love independent movies. Anything. Some of my personal favorites are Amelie, Donnie Darko, Life is Beautiful, Gattica, and usually anything World War 2 related.

Music: Same thing with music as movies. I love independent bands. The Strokes is my favorite band. Currently, I listen to a lot of The Sounds, The Bravery, We Are Scientists, MGMT, The Ting Tings, Daft Punk, just to name a few!
Food: I love trying different ethnic foods and attempting to cook them. Usually they don't come out nearly as good as they do in a restaurant, but never the less. I have recently become a huge fan of cheap, dirty taquerias! I am great at cooking italian food among others, and overall, I just really like to cook! It is one of my few creative abilities!
