Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm equal parts creative thinker and analytical problem solver. I'd
feel just as comfortable working in the arts as I would in a
science related field. I don't often meet people quite like me in
this regard. I currently work in the Information Technology field
solving problems, but have a degree in music composition...go
So why am I here? I stay busy working full time and I'm in the
process of starting a custom guitar building business. I'm also
investigating the possibility of getting a Master's Degree. So
while time is in short supply, I still make time for others.
That said, even if I wasn't busy, the opportunity to meet new
people you may never encounter in day to day life fascinates me.
Life before the internet was a very different thing.
I feel like living your life without fear and limitations is the
most important thing that anybody can do. The most successful
people in history didn't allow society to hold them back. I would
imagine the same could be said for the happiest people in history.
I've seen far too many people give up on their hopes and dreams
only to try to pass them along to their children. I'm not that type
I often have lofty goals, but why bother otherwise?
I'm a laid back person that loves an occasional dose of chaos. I
love good stories, because without them the world would be a pretty
dull place. I like nature and the outdoors and would generally be
more happy if winter didn't exist....though snow is cool on
occasion. I really miss snow days.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working toward pursing further education. I enjoy the work that I
do now, but the things I will create in the future are what excite
Anyway, when work isn't busy getting in the way of my hobbies
-Build guitars (I play guitar as well)
-Model/Texture/Animate in 3d
-Make High Dynamic Range photos
-Build machines that help me build guitars
I'm also learning storytelling.
There is far more, but a text box will never sum up a person's life
very well. What would be the fun in me telling you everything
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The process of taking something from an abstract idea that exists
only in your mind and turning it into a tangible piece of reality,
is something that never ceases to amaze me. I'm not so sure I'm
"really good at" it, but that's what I'm working toward.
Chances are I'm more than capable of fixing your computer problems

Books: I'm perpetually reading a new book. I'm slowly amassing a
personal library. Most of what I read is non-fiction and
educational in some way, either directly or through mind expanding
concepts. I'm not opposed to reading fiction, but there are so many
things that I'm trying to learn/accomplish that I tend to get my
fiction fix from other mediums.
Movies: Memento (pretty much everything Christopher Nolan is
involved with). Radio, The Matrix, Seven Pounds, Ratatouille
TV: LOST, Supernatural, The Mentalist, Paranormal Witness. I tend
to favor mind bending stuff. I like family guy and south park
Comedy: Ralphie May, Dave Chappelle, Daniel Tosh
Music: I went to school for music composition. My list is somewhat
long, but I'll name a few at the top of my list lately:
Hidden Orchestra, Dead Letter Circus, Floex, A Perfect Circle,
Machine Head, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd.
I generally think all food should be spicy....
Thai food is my favorite. But I love so many different types of
food: Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Southern food (Thelma's Chicken
and Waffles...you know if you've been there), etc.
I really love craft beer. Breweries I like: Lagunitas, Sweetwater,
Abita, Troegs, Dogfish Head, Saranac, and basically everything else
that's nearly impossible to find in Virginia.
Lately I've been diving progressively deeper into the rabbit hole
that is coffee.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
....I guess specificity didn't make the list, did it?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-How to take over the world.
-Why we haven't been to Mars yet, or even sent a probe to
-Cadbury Cream Eggs.
In reality I've been reading a lot about the nature of human
consciousness and how technology is changing the course of
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sometimes there is a nap involved after work. Sometimes I try to
get involved in some mayhem. Other times I may work on a project
until the wee hours of the morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I didn't learn how to whistle or snap until way after most of my
peers did. I'm sometimes a late bloomer, but usually make up for
lost time by being a very fast learner.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You made it this far....there's a lot of text above this
-You can't remember the last time you were "bored".
-You're a creative person. (This really isn't essential, but it's
nice to meet like minded people)
-You understand how conversations work....seriously, I'm not
interested in interviewing you.
For that matter, if you consider yourself an interesting person and
are passionate about something...anything. If you have drive and
motivation, I really respect that.
