My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Back on OK Cupid after a few years away. I'm pretty happy with my life but I want someone to share it with. I'm pretty much open to anything and anyone at this point. While I want a serious long-term relationship I'm more than happy, at this point, to take things slowly and see where they go.
I have two wonderful kids (son 15 & daughter 12). I work a pretty varied schedule so, while it isn't consistent, I do have plenty of free time. Now i just need someone to spend that time with me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm obviously not too good at creating this profile. I tend to listen pretty well. I'm pretty good at giving advice to others. I should learn to take my own sometimes. Although it's not exactly something I do often I'm a pretty good bowler!?! I can spell fairly well and I believe most of what I write is grammatically correct.

Usually my eyes, I guess.

When it comes to food there is almost nothing that I won't eat (although I have a strange hatred of sweet potatoes). I love trying different ethnic foods. I feel like I've tried everything but there must be something haven't experienced yet.

I spent many years managing a bookstore so books are something I've always been around. I wouldn't say I read a ton but I am always in the middle of at least one book. It just seems to take me a while to finish. I am reading a lot of non-fiction recently. Mosly historical biographies. I've read everything from Faulkner to Chuck Palahniuk. Stephen King is a gulity pleasure (it's been a while since he's been any good). I really enjoyed The Devil in the White City, Team of Rivals, Lovely Bones & Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. Even more recently I loved The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova & Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (actually read it about a year before the movie came totally sucked, book was great).

My interest in music varies with my mood. Examples include Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Bob Mould, Al Green, Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson, Led Zeppelin, Mark Lanegan, Eminem, The Pixies, Television, Stevie Wonder & George Harrison...that's what I listened to today...That doesn't even cover most of what I listen to.

TV-Don't watch a ton but when i do: Modern Family, Impractical Jokers (on Tru TV..if you don't watch it you should), Family Guy, Game of Thrones, some Food Network & History Channel stuff. Loved Arrested Development.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My kids
Uhhh? I'll get back to you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the future holds for me. I know that's a pretty cliche answer but it's true.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sometimes I work. Sometimes I'm out with friends. Sometimes I'm home. It varies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't have a lot of secrets. I'm pretty much an open book. Ask me and I'll tell you.
