Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name's Jake, I moved out to Brooklyn about a year ago from
Minnesota, but I'm originally from NJ so I'm an East Coaster at
heart, and it reflects in my ability to tell it like it is. I am a
very honest person (sometimes too much so) and while this may sound
blunt, what you see is what you get (though I don't take many
pictures, so maybe not physically. I'll work on it, I promise). As
for what you get, I love to make people laugh, so expect many
attempts at humor (many of which will hopefully hit). I'm a huge
film and TV nerd as well as a huge sports fan, so if you like
talking about these things ad nauseum, you're in luck!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering useless facts about sports, movies, and TV shows. I'm
really good at being on time. I'm good at making plans and
following up on texts and e-mails. I like to think I'm good at
making people laugh, or at least inducing a bemused chuckle. I'm
also very good at being honest, perhaps too good to the point where
I can't stop myself.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have too many favorite movies to mention, but I like to say my
film taste ranges from Citzen Kane to Snakes on a Plane. As for TV,
my favorite shows are Breaking Bad, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Mad
Men, South Park, all the comedies on FX, Homeland, 30 Rock, Parks
and REC Sons of Anarchy, Freaks and Geeks/Undeclared, Joss Whedon
stuff, Doctor Who, Sherlock. Yes, I watch too much TV. As for
music, I love all kinds of old stuff, from classic 70's rock to
early 90's rap, I'm all over the map (yes, I AM the Rhymenoceros).
I do read quite a bit (thanks, library card). I listen to podcasts
more often, like WTF and Nerdist. My favorite foods are Quaker Oat
Squares, sausage pizza, and chocolate ice cream, but in terms of
cuisine, I'm always in the mood for Italian or a good burger.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Outside of basic needs:
1. My friends
3. Cereal for breakfast
5. My five senses

my future and all the paths it could take. Also see the
books/movies/shows/music/food section. What the lives of those
break dancers on the subway are like even though I simultaneously
wish they would stop and go away.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with my friends, watching Netflix, or hanging out with my
friends while watching Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm afraid of lightning and therefore thunderstorms in general. I
know, not very manly, is it?
You should message me if

you want to talk to someone who has never thought of taking a
shirtless picture in the mirror because I'm not a douche-clown. Do
that many people really do that?
If you like to talk about movies/TV for hours on end, we'll
probably get along, but if you message me, you'll see my
conversational abilities are quite versatile.
