My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The straightforward part

Born & raised outside of Philly, college in Ann Arbor, and now-three-and-a-half-year resident of D.C. Recently got my master's here since I didn't want to move away (just yet?).

A few random ramblings about myself

I love: learning, going outside my comfort zone, banter(ing), people-watching, being outdoors, being around animals. This list is a work in progress.

I am an optimist, an idealist at heart. I have always loved nature, animals, biology -- my first dream job was to work for National Geographic. Namely take pictures for the magazine, get paid to travel the world, the usual.
Dream job 2: veterinarian.
Dream job 3: teacher, in order to have full access to a chalkboard all the time. the prospect seemed exhilarating. I think I equated chalkboards with power, lots of power...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just started a new job as a teacher. My end goal is to focus on early childhood literacy in public schools.

Figuring out how to incorporate animals into my life without actually getting a pet of my own (yet).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
People watching. and avoiding answering questions like this.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Completely impractical stuff. Where I want to buy a one-way ticket to. My bucket list. How I need to spend more time outdoors. Elephants. Gorillas. The lives (and heights) of giraffes.
Semantics.
How humans (and the planet, really) were better off before the rise of agriculture... and how not to get too depressed about that...

When I'm going to finally learn Yiddish.
