My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
College educated with a healthy dose of life experience....not afraid to step up to the plate or get my hands dirty. I also believe college isn't for everybody and I have met many talented and fascinating people who have travelled other roads. The less traveled roads are what appeal to me the most and men with muscle and adventuresome spirits.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For many years now, I've worked as a therapeutic mentor with at-risk teenagers. How I got through those years myself is still a mystery! Lived most of my life in the Berkshires, own a big old house which is a lot quieter since my kids aren't kids any more. Also self employed as a landscape gardener. Love being outdoors and creating gardens which make people appreciate their surroundings. Recently finished the requirements to become a Master Gardener........sounds prestigious but the mission is to educate the public and encourage others to get involved in gardening.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Many things except technology. I'm the creative type and like to be physically engaged.
The first things people usually notice about me

Love my fruits and veggies. Not fanatical but like to keep it healthy. Just getting into a book entitled A Soldier of the Great War.which was recommended to me. .Very interested in the World Wars right now. My father flew a B25 and I've come to appreciate a chapter in his life I hadn't thought about much. He's been gone many years. Just tried out my new shoe shoes. Find the snow beautiful. Very appreciative of the arts.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My kids, the new puppy, my senses, a pepper mill, quality garlic press and an honest mechanic. I've somehow managed to do without a good carpenter for some time but not by choice. Prescription sunglasses....can't leave home without them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Thinking less and living more in the moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Reading a book, satisfying my curiosity by looking things up on weikapedia, snuggling with my pup. Enjoy a good concert.....think Keb'mo was the last I attended and he was over the top. Well aware of the power of chemistry and hoping to be blessed with that type of connection again.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
More often than not, my knees are dirty. Of course not this time of year.
