I am alive, happy, and married.
My Self-Summary
Jerome K. Jerome, I am an exceptionally good liar.
I'm a
Universalist Unitarian a
BA in
art &
graphic
design from Shippensburg University. I'm a "very laid back
person." Or so I hear from what few friends I have. I hate parties,
and most social situations but this is not a fault. I love
museums,
movies, and
cartoons that haven't aired since
the mid nineties,
grunge rock and
adult alternative (I
don't even know what that is), beep and click techno,
stand up comedy,
and some
video
games. I'm very
sarcastic, and most people I know
think I'm funny...but I think that's a load of crap. Also, I love
my Dr. Pepper shirt...apparently.
I hate dogs and people who believe vanity is a virtue. I don't like
cheaters unless they are exceptionally clever, and my favorite
animal is the
penguin. I have stacks of books that I
am trying to find time to read. I appreciate
classical music, and have a
germ-phobia
that some consider obsessively compulsive. I can't sleep without
touching my face or lips, and
ice cream tends to excite me. I don't
tan; I only burn and because of this my skin is white like
snow.
I am also a huge fan of
cooking and I write a cooking
blog for the website
TastyPlanner.com. My husband,
Anthemonium, and I moved into a new
house in MD where we both work from home.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated school with a BA in Fine Art and graphic design
certification. With that, I have started up my own graphic design
company called Ice Moon Studios. It is a design company for smaller
businesses that need an identity. You can visit my site at
www.icemoonstudios.com to view my portfolio as well as submit a
project to me if you have some sort of design need.
My husband, Jim (aka
Anthemonium), and I recently moved into
our first house in MD. Jim is moving up in his company (which is
awesome) and I am so proud of him. We both are currently working
from home.
I love to blog and I am writing several from cooking to bentos to
babies.
I’m really good at
Umm...in an attempt to be modest, I'm going to say...design, only
because it is my job. But I am a good conversationalist, and I'm
pretty good at being um, humorous.
I am a very hard worker, my whole family is really. When you give
me a task, I will find the cheapest and most efficient way of
completing it. I have been bred this way, I have no other way of
thinking.
I am also really good at planning and time management. I am
actually pretty organized. I keep the house tidy and clean and the
fridge is always stocked, so I guess that's good.
I am also a fairly decent cook. I love to cook and try new recipes!
Jim made me a new recipewiki which I am obsessed with now.
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses are noticed first. I know they are dork frames (and I
think they are cool as well which is why I bought them so you don't
need to message me to tell me that). I like some dorky/nerdy/geeky
guys, and they like over exaggerated black frames, so there we
go.
My sarcastic attitude is also noticed. I attempt to joke with
people because laughter makes everyone happy. I am a walking
library of MY favorite movie quotes (so don't quiz me) and use them
accordingly.
The fact that I actually listen. Listening is underrated. Even if
people are asking bullshit questions and giving bull shit
responses, I still listen.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I'll read anything by
Kurt Vonnegut, a few books by
Chuck Palahniu. I also loved the
Griffen and Sabine series by
artist
Nick
Bantok.
Lovely Bones,
Earth Childrens
Series, and a few other random books.
Movies:
The Road to El Dorado,
Benny and Joon,
Cry
Baby, Don Juan Demarco, Edward Scissorhands, Fear and Loathing
in Las Vegas,
Clifford, The Holy Grail,
Cabin Boy, The Breakfast
Club, Amalie
Television:
Firefly,
X-Files,
Strangers with Candy,
Arrested Development,
The Tick (live and animated), How Clean
is Your House?, LOST (kinda)
Music:
The
Notwist, The Postal Service,
Junior Boys, The Killers,
The Weepies,
The Church, Frank
Sinatra, Minus the Bear,
Royksopp,
The Church, Magnetic Fields, Crash
Test Dummies, Fruit Bats,
The Weepies

Salads, Sandwiches, Chicken Salad, Tacos, Curry, Peaches,

The six things I could never do without
1.) Jim. Plain and simple. Jim = love/sex/conversation, the best
things in he world. Also, I will mention this again, he is my
wonderful husband!
2.) My MacBook Pro. I'm sorry to say it, but we are attached at the
hip. I take it everywhere I go. Of course my laptop has to have my
software, including: Adobe Designers Suite: InDesign, Illustrator,
Photoshop, GoLive or Dreamweaver, Flash; iLife 08: iTunes, iPhoto,
iWeb and the like. I live on the programs. Also, the computer needs
internet access, preferably wireless. Being a designer I need the
internet like I need oxygen, filtered from crap. Also, I must note,
that it better not be dial-up. I didn't even think anyone still
used dial-up, but low and behold...its still out there.
3.) Movies/Shows. I love the cinema and theater. There is nothing
like a few hours of entertainment in a dark room.
4.) Plants. I love to breath, much like most living creatures. I
have a loving fascination with pants and flowers. I have several
all over the house, and I love them as much as I do design. They
clean our air, they provide us with Oxygen and they are simply
beautiful to look at. No two are the same and that makes all plants
exceedingly special. I also garden a lot, so that's fun.
5.) Humor: I love laughing, joking, and being sarcastic. I feel
like a million bucks when I'm able to make people laugh.
6.) Good food: I am a lover of fine dining. I am always up for a
unique dining experience and multi cultural meals. I am not one to
live off of 3 types of food for my entire life. I enjoy trying new
things and am open to almost every type of food one can offer. I
also love cooking, so good food is necessary.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Jim, my family's well being, cult TV, art/museums/shows/school,
stuff like that, but I mostly think about my future. I don't care
about my past, pointless to dwell.
Lately I have been thinking about starting a family with Jim and
adding more stuff to my "baby hope chest". I can't wait!
On a typical Friday night I am
I am spending my Friday night with my husband going out to dinner,
playing video games, watching movies, or just talking (possibly all
of the above).
In the summer we are more likely to be out (camping, swimming,
hiking); but like most folks, in the winter we go out to dinner,
catch a new movie or stay in and watch one or play a game. We are
very solitary people.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I actually can't wait to me a mom. I have been kind of obsessed
with the idea lately. I am sewing diapers, buying baby gear, and
reading tons of books to be ready when we decide to start trying.
You should message me if
I don't know, you want to chat? I don't really care anymore though,
because I have a husband that I plucked from the very loins of this
website. I'm only here now to take tests and answer questions for
fun, and keep a record of a usable profile for use on other sites.
