My self-summary
Here's a few random facts about me, before anything else:

- I watch terrible television like Most Haunted and Finding Bigfoot, and I love every second of it.

- I'm a massive film geek, and have even been known to quote movies to other people... in the middle of normal conversation complete with voices and facial expressions.

- I have played the piano for years and years, but rarely play for other people. So don't get your hopes up.

- I don't drink any hot drinks (pause for gasp of shock and screams of what a traitorous Brit I am).

- I am secretly a northerner, but you'd probably never know it if you met me.

- My friend has recently hash-tagged my life, ending everything I say with "Jo's Funny Stories". It's a very subtle and backhanded way of telling me I'm not as interesting as I think I am...

Still here? Have a I vaguely entertained you? Then you're probably someone I'd like to get to know.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as Media officer for a company in Kent. This basically means I live my entire waking life on social media. The internet gets surprisingly boring after a while.
I’m really good at
Reciting the lines to The Princess Bride, playing the piano, and making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
Erm... my fringe? That was a terrible answer, but if you want to get to know me better, then you can tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right, here goes:

Books - The End of Mr Y, Magic, Bright Young Things, The Light Fantastic, The Princess Bride, Dr Zhivago, The Night Circus, The Time Traveller's Wife, The Devil in the White City

TV shows - Green Wing, Trollied, Homeland, The Tudors, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Episodes, Absolutely Fabulous, French and Saunders, Vicar of Dibley, Damages

Music - No Doubt, The Kinks, Vampire Weekend, Bastille, Belle and Sebastien, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, King Charles, Angus and Julia Stone, The Civil Wars, Cher (I know! What can I say, she's my guilty pleasure)

Movies - The Princess Bride, An Officer and a Gentleman, The Great Gatsby, Jane Eyre, Shine, Edward Scissorhands, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Bad Education, The Happiness of the Katakuris, An Affair to Remember, Breakfast at Tiffany's... I could go on forever.

Food - I like nearly everything, but all-time faves are as follows... Nepali Chatpate, Nepali Momo, Sardine pate (found in every Portuguese taverna), White Chocolate cheesecake, potatoes dauphinoise. All this on a plate now please.
The six things I could never do without
Diet Coke
My copy of The Princess Bride
My Piano
My Nan's engagement ring
Diet Coke
My passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where in the world I want to see next, and also how I can get to work for free without walking or getting a bus, train or taxi. This is surprisingly time consuming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually chilling out in front of a film, but failing that, out on the town!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I own a t-shirt that has a mustached cat on it - and not for any ironic purposes.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 22–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You are willing to sit through a whole hour of Most Haunted just to make me happy, have access to an unlimited supply of Diet Coke... or failing that you just like my face.
