My Self-Summary
Summarizing myself seems like a very daunting task, but OkCupid is
so insistent that I suppose I'll be obliging and try.
I was raised, but not born, in Minnesota, and I've lived here most of my life. I'm a voracious reader and own lots of books. I like beer. I don't eat meat. The numeral one/exclamation point key on my keyboard is broken.

Enjoying it, for the most part.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Some of my favorite books are In Cold Blood, Daniel
Deronda, Northanger Abbey, The Song of the Lark,
and Tender is the Night. I enjoy other works by those
authors as well. I also really like Naomi Novik's Temeraire
series and Alexander McCall Smith's No. 1 Ladies Detective
Agency series, and I adore P.G. Wodehouse.
Movie-wise, I like comedies. Not romantic comedies, but actual comedies like Old School and Burn After Reading. I also like action movies, particularly those with zombies, superheroes, and/or explosions.
My favorite band of all time is the Pixies. I also really like Neko Case, Lucinda Williams, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, and Beck.
I'm vegetarian, and I appreciate all good food that does not contain meat. I'm especially partial to spicy food, and I make a mean vegetarian chili.
