What I’m doing with my life
"Making Stuff!"
I love using my creativity to bring new and interesting things into the world. I constantly have a project going that either involves: painting, knitting, sewing, crocheting, drafting, planting, gluing, collecting, sketching, inking, writing, or collaborating.
New, exciting projects and skills make me happy.

"Growing Stuff!"
I'm really passionate about homesteading and farming; Especially the aspects that draw attention toward eating locally, seasonally, and organically. My hands long to plunge into that damp earth and coax forth food to feed my loved ones! I live in a wonderful community house, and we have a large garden that we tend together. This winter we built three cold frames for our raised beds, and our kale and mustard greens and they did wonderfully!
We just put in two more raised beds in the back, and started prepping our community garden plot for potatoes and onions! I'm too excited.

"Working and Stuff!"
For moolah, I work in the office and administrative side of Pok Pok Restaurants. It's a fantastic job, and I really love it; I get to learn a lot about the business side of the restaurant world, which is something I dig. Plus my coworkers are awesome and I get to be a tech-nerd-superhero on a daily basis.

I also used to be the manager of a smoothies & juices food cart where we blend all of our smoothies using old stationary bicycles that we've converted to blenders. I literally pedaled smoothies all day. It was an amazing job.

I also ride my bicycle everywhere as my mode of transportation, (regardless of the weather) and I have no interest in owning a car. I've got a perfectly good pair of legs, and I'm gonna use 'em!

"Joyful Stuff!"
Yoga, stretching, and meditation are essential for the continued balance of my soul. As is fresh air, dancing barefoot, the intensely amazing communities I'm a part of, being within and of nature, and laughing freely at every opportunity.
I've been getting gradually more interested in acrobatics, which has led me to take an acro-balancing class this year. I'm in love with the way it makes me use my body, and how it makes me feel!
I also try to nurture my spirit as intentionally as I nurture my body, mostly through awareness and communication.
I'm a gigantic nerd for Non-Violent Communication.
I’m really good at
Building LEGO kits.
Baking delicious treats.
Painting beautiful pictures.
Getting my hands dirty.
Sewing extravagant costumes.
Knitting cozy gifts.
Hanging out with little humans.
Reading books about junk I don't really understand.
Moving my body in cool ways.
Riding my bicycle without hands.

Painting my face.
Sampling new teas.

The first things people usually notice about me
I've heard: "Charming", "Exuberant", "Vivacious", and "The grace and ferocity with which you walk is rare and beautiful".
I think those are all pretty great.

Also I'm pretty tall for a female.

My nearly inextinguishable energy when expressing interest or joy in a subject. (I'm a big, flourishing, monster of gesticulation.)
I am most certainly not an apathetic woman.

I'm 75% legs.

On a typical Friday night I am
* Taking things easy with a good book and a cup of tea.
* Attending one of the many dinner parties we throw at my home.
* Painting furiously while listening to Chopin turned all the way up.
* Dancing with a wild and breathless smile on my face.
* Playing peek-a-boo with a tiny child, to entertain them while their parents are off having a breath of fresh air and a strong drink.
* Washing the dirt from my palms after a day of happy weeding and tending.
* Working on my latest knitted creation, and reveling in the texture of the yarn as it passes across my fingers.
* Drinking a fancy cider on my front porch with a feline named "The Captain" and listening to my best friends stretch out and let go of the stresses of their week through great conversation, and bourbon.
* Stretching and pushing and manipulating my body into any manner of delicious contortions and positions to delight in the way my muscles ache and stretch around my skeleton.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm only here because catching people in carefully and elaborately constructed nets wasn't working. The smart ones are too smart to get caught, and I only like the smart ones.

Also, up there I said I'm 75% legs. That's an exaggeration; I did the math, and I'm actually only 65% leg.
I'm sorry for the deception, feel free to leave now if my slightly lower leg-to-body ratio disappoints you.

(In case you're curious, that ratio is approximately 1.75:1 )

You should message me if
You should be ecstatically you. I am not at all interested in the you that you create out of things you think will please me. I'm only interested in pure, unadulterated, honest human beings who are fearlessly themselves.

You want to:
Go camping.
Go dancing.
Take a spontaneous trip.
Go stargazing.
Run errands together.
Wander through flea markets.
Teach me about tending gardens, chickens, or bees.
Go kayaking.
Take a bike ride.
Scrub my back in the shower.
Collaborate on a painting.
Go hiking in the forest.
Play me music.
Hold my hand.
Sit in the sun and read books.
Make dinner together.

You don't think it's uncool to be passionate, happy, and excitable. Because I am those things, and those things ARE cool, and if you don't at the very least agree that they are fine qualities to have, then it won't work out.

You're okay with the fact that I have a busy life that doesn't allow for reading and answering OKC messages very often. If I don't reply right away, it's not a sign of disinterest.
