My go to karaoke song is The Star Spangled Banner.
I'm a Connecticut native, went to school in Pennsylvania, and I live in Bushwick. New York I love you and you never bring me down. I work in the music industry and spend lot of nights I'm out at shows, so it's a major plus if you're a fellow concert goer. I have been meaning to do one of the crazy recommendations on www.nonsensenyc.com.
My new Saturday afternoon ritual (as of two weeks ago) is going to an art museum and then drinking frozen margaritas at Blockheads. Let me know if you want to join. The food sucks but those frozen margaritas... are cheap
Music: This is an impossible question to answer. Some of my go to favorites are Radiohead, Built to Spill, Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Beach House, and Ellie Goulding. Some of my recent favorites...Axel Flovent (https://soundcloud.com/axelflovent) and POWERS (https://soundcloud.com/givemepowers/beat-of-my-drum)
Food: I'll pretty much eat anything but I a good bowl of soup is the way to my heart. The smoked brisket pho at Lucy's in Bushwick...it's like heaven in a bowl. Also won't turn down Indian, a good taco (Taqueria is unquestionably the best taco in NYC), or some dumplings (Vanessa's).
My new NYC ID (no not the NY State ID)
Also let me know what your "walk-up" song would be if you were a professional baseball player
