I'm a huge Twins and Gopher basketball fan, and a die hard Timberwolves fan. I work just a few blocks from Target Field and Target Center, and one of my favorite Friday activities is getting a couple drinks after work and walking over to the stadium to take in a game.
My hobbies include golfing, running, cooking, and gardening. My current apartment provides about the worst conditions for plants though, and everything I try to grow dies almost immediately. So that particular hobby is kind of on hold for awhile. On the bright side, I'm right next to lots of trails that I like to use 4-5 times a week and get in a good run. I can't say I'm passionate about running, but I do it for a few reasons: it's good for the heart, it's a great excuse to get outdoors for an hour or so, and I enjoy trying to improve my time with each 5K that I run. I also enjoy cooking, and especially grilling. I love relaxing outside on the really hot summer days with a cooler of cold drinks and some steaks on the grill.
I've done the Europe backpacking experience twice, but have done little traveling since (outside of work). There are a lot of places within and outside of the US that I'd love to see. I can just never make up my mind when or where to go. If I weren't working, I think one of the best vacations would be to take a long roadtrip and visit as many baseball stadiums as possible, especially if the Twins were playing.
