I am an Objectivist in philosophy, which means, in short, very short: 1) Metaphysically, I believe in objective reality independent of man's consciousness, that is, A is A. This rules out secular relativism and religion; 2) Epistemologically, I believe that man's rational mind is his only means of perceiving, understanding, and dealing with that objective reality. This rules out religion and skepticism; 3) Ethically, I believe that I am an end in myself and that my sole purpose in life is to satisfy my rational, individualistic self-interest, with productive achievement as my noblest pursuit, while not violating the rights of others who wish to pursue their rational self-interest. This rules out nihilism, altruism, and hedonism; 4) Politically, I am a radical capitalist who believes in the complete separation of economy and state, as well as church and state, and that the government's sole purpose is to protect individual rights from force and fraud perpetuated by individuals and foreign countries. This rules out welfare-state liberalism, compassionate conservatism, pacifism, and anarchism; 5) Esthetically, I believe that the sole purpose of art is to paint the world and man as they should be, and that such art serves to inspire man. This rules out naturalism (see my photo album).
I'm going to be a novelist-prosecutor-politician-husband.
I've already written the first draft of my book.
One down, three to go.
Politics: Conservative-Libertarian - Economic policy: Conservative (social security privatization, free trade, flat tax, tax cuts, degregulation, balanced budget, sound money) - Foreign policy: Conservative (pro-Iran-nuclear-facility-strike, pro-Israel, pro-pre-emption, pro-Iraq War, pro-unilateralism, pro-New Europe, pro-Rummy) - Social policy: Liberal (pro-assisted suicide, pro-civil unions (not pro-gay-marriage), pro-civil liberties, pro-choice, (not pro-abortion))
I am individualistic, rational, and productive
