My self-summary
In the Antarctic high summer I crossed the Anderson Massif from the Bay of Whales to the South Pole. The snow blew like dust across a desert of white. I climbed Cerro Torre in Patagonia and dove to the bottom of a "wine-dark" Aegean Sea, all to realize that what I was looking for was standing right in front of me.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a man on this earth, alive. Just that: ferociously alive.
I’m really good at
forgetting names and where I parked my car. That, and so much more.
The first things people usually notice about me
is a small twitch in my left earlobe that makes me extremely self-conscious. I know because no one's looking at it.

Also, I'm a calm bright warm evening. No, really.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I like writing that is simply "charged with meaning to the utmost possible degree."

Movies: I like the feeling of sitting in a movie theater right before the film is about to start.

Shows: Yes, but I'm so far behind.

Music: everything, almost.

Food: eating with friends.
The six things I could never do without
Something sexy, something sweet... something smart, and something sleek... sometimes something special and sleep... and all six at once would be super, especially on a Sunday in September.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why don't you write back? I love that photo of you. Your writing is so honest, playful and smart. Can we meet up? Take a walk? Spin in mutual attraction until we fall in a dizzying rush of excitement and anticipation. My words begin to flutter, my blood beating still until all beating stops and I realize that I'm sitting alone in my kitchen typing on a laptop.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typically, I'm training hyenas and jackals how to get along. They don't understand that it's the end of the workweek. They're animals. I also walk to a designated spot in San Francisco and describe it. It's the same spot for four months and then I choose a different spot. At the end of the night I light a sparkler and eat a cupcake to celebrate the weekend, and then I do it again, forever.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I use to like "a good walk spoiled".

I'll also admit that I only looked at your photos, at first. I've fallen in love with women who I thought were attractive, but not the most beautiful women in the world, because they were open, smart and made me feel loved. I've also found the most beautiful women ugly because they were closed, even mean, not very developed intellectually in spite of behaving in a knowing manner, and self-obsessed. Physical beauty is divine, but oh so ephemeral.
You should message me if
You're a calm bright blue body of water. Or you think we'd make each other feel like the funniest people on Earth. No, I mean in the World.
