I am comical, ambitious, and musical.

My Self-Summary

I am poor at writing about myself.

I am a curious combination of traits. I am a huge fan of Japanese anime and manga, I am technologically inclined, I skipped a grade, I am comparatively short with rectangular glasses... yet, I am largely interested by sports, and my ultimate goal is to be a rock star. I'm some kind of self-denying nerd, I guess.

I am the type to do my damnedest to sing along to Japanese rock, or as the case may be, rap along to Japanese rap. One of my songs was featured on the Howard Stern radio program. I am half-French, born in California but having lived in France for four years of my youth. ("How the hell did you end up in Ohio?", I know.) I can recall from memory far more of Baby Got Back than my rights should allow. I own a copy of Shaq Diesel. I taught myself to read at the age of two. I have traveled to ten countries ranging three continents.

I am a sort of video gaming jack-of-all-trades, perhaps specializing most in RPGs, Day of Defeat, Guitar Hero / Rock Band, and FIFA soccer. I have a sizable collection of RPGs (SNES, PS1, PS2), and like to plan infeasible marathons such as a race through all Final Fantasy games. Favorite game? Chrono Trigger, obviously. Unarguably the best game ever.

I have seen my fair share of terrible super-horrible bands you've never heard of, such as Strikken (a Columbus metal band with a drummer who used a splash cymbal), The Finest Hour (who once wanted me to stand in on drumset at the end of their last song, a 6+ minute song mind you, for only eight measures, with this band being the last act of the whole show... all so that their drummer may stand up, grab a mic, and scream), and Crank County Daredevils (quite certainly the singular loudest band touring such prestigious events as the Rollerderby at the Thunderdome, a band whose bass player interrupted a song to ask a stagehand to fetch him a metal crate that he may stand on it and merely be taller).

Sometimes I write in a peculiar disjointed fashion such as the above, but rest assured it is only for amusement. I would not address you in person with such statements as "please to having a funs." It is merely for the internet.

... really though, I just saw that my friends all had more writing than I did in my summary, and I felt as though I'd taken the cowardly approach and skimped on the biography. Thus, this. Not that any of the above is untrue, but I'm really just a regular guy. I live with one roommate and three cats, doing my best to be optimistic and make myself into something great.

What I’m doing with my life

Preparing my overhauled home studio for marathon recording sessions spanning at least the entirety of 2009. This is the year.

I’m really good at

Music! I was originally trained as a percussionist, but have since taught myself guitar, bass, some keyboard, and to sing. I write songs and record myself playing all those instruments in my own little shoddily constructed home studio. You can hear some selections of my self-recorded catalog on MySpace. I'm intending to become a rock star.

Also, video games! Anything from fast-paced first person shooters (very active in Team Fortress 2) to import fighters (Jump! Ultimate Stars, Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4) to soccer management simulators (Football Manager 2009).

The first things people usually notice about me

My sense of humor. Visually, I don't draw much attention to myself, but my style of humor plays off the surroundings and often garners attention, whether appreciative or resentful of sarcasm and quick wit.

If the question is meant visually, I suppose I am comparatively short, and I've been complimented on my glasses several times, which is odd, because they're not unusual.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

The six things I could never do without

1. My cats
2. The internet
3. My musical ability
4. One Piece
5. Humor
6. The relentless hope of succeeding in love and in music

On a typical Friday night I am

On the internet.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of professional wrestling.

You should message me if

You love Trafalgar Law's ability, you can't help but sing along to No Self Control, you're impatient for progression between Dean and Triana, you laughed your ass off at The Granary's cheesy shark dish, you think you dislike Vince Russo as much as I do, you're sick of people who use the Big 3 on Wi-Fi, you always use at least 20 Ys when you Dio, you prefer IV and VI to any of the 3D games, you resent Togashi for not finishing what he started, you actually prefer Pumpers to Tumblers, you're getting tired of my obvious attempt to be inclusive with those who share my tastes...

... or perhaps you could just message me if you want to talk to me. I'm one of those types that would love to be approached but is too shy to initiate communication and sometimes too hesitant to reply. (I'm told those are sometimes called "jerks.") I promise to read the message, at least; catch my attention.
