I am editing this now to get to the elusive 1,000 words profile length, i will try and put something remotely meaningful in here rather than just blah blah blah up to 1000 words.

edit: i really didn't realise how DIFFICULT it is to write 1000 words about myself, maybe that is an indication that things are missing from my life, and that i need more in it to write about.

I'm 24 and graduated from the university of East Anglia in 2007 with a degree in psychosocial science

I'm looking for a girl quite similar to me, a little geeky, intelligent but a little silly at times. Someone who likes to hug and hold hands, but doesn't need to be doing it all the time, someone who is happy to spend time a lone as well as with company, someone who is happy to talk abnout everything and nothing, but is also perfectly comfortable sitting in silence, whether watching tv or a movie, reading or just looking into each others eyes

I find myself somewhat in limbo at the moment, I am in a reasonably decent job, with fairly good pay and lots of time off, but it isn't really what I want to do, so I'm in a bit of a conundrum of wanting to find something I enjoy doing, but not wanting to have to get a lower paid job working more hours, especially if I don't know for sure if i will like it

I moved out of my parents house in February and am very much enjoying having my own place, sharing with a couple of friends from school.

Most of my free time is taken up playing around on the net, playing videogames and watching movies and tv either downloaded or on DVD.

I feel like i should be doing more, i want to read more and do some more active hobbies, but i am some what lethargic and apathetic so haven't got round to it yet

I saw an ad for a course in computer game design and development which looks really cool, so i might think about dong that, would LOVE to get into that industry. I am thinking about getting a few books to start me off, something on C++ programming and maybe some kind of art book, because i REALLY need to learn to draw better, perhaps some kind of creative writing/story writing sort of thing too

My father passed away a few montsh ago, which has been very hard on me and my family, he was only 55, he had a heart condition for which he took a lot of medication, he had a stroke in his sleep and developed pneumonia in hospital and was too weak to recover

Procrastinating - it's taken me about a week to get round to writing this, and i always used to leave coursework until the last moment

Playing guitar - maybe not REALLY good, but good enough to impress my friends

Spending money - i buy far too much crap, games, DVDs and the like

BOOKS: I don't read NEARLY as much as I'd like to, always end up wasting my time doing other things. when I do read I love Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, Harry Potter ( know they're kids books but i love the stories, especially the audiobook versions read by Stephen Fry) and anything by Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Choke etc) and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (both the books and the radio play)

Have also started reading some comic books/graphic novels recently, been reading Watchmen which is excellent, plus a few Wolverine bits and pieces

MOVIES: movies wise I love The Matrix (but not really the sequels), Fight Club, anything by Kevin Smith

MUSIC: I have quite a varied taste, although there are certain things i listen to more than others, my current playlist includes, but is not limited to: cKy, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Fncubus, koRn, Less Than Jake, Marilyn Manson, Muse, Queens of the Stoneage and Rage Against the Machine

FOOD: I love pasta, pizza, chocolate, ice cream

what the future holds for me, this both excites me and scares the living crap out of me

random things that interest me but which i haven't yet taken the time to learn more about, like the origins of certain mythologies and religions, the pyramids in Egypt, the existence of extra terrestrial life

i like to think about how UTTERLY vast the universe is and how infinitesimally small our place in it is, yet on our level things can seem so vastly important and world changing, and yet again there are things even smaller, subatomic particles and the like

also i've just been watching some deep sea videos on youtube and finding the weird deep sea creatures such as the vampire squid from hell very facinating

either working, or chilling out with my friends, either playing videogames or watching movies.

I think i ought to get out more, hit some clubs or something, or go to more gigs, maybe you will take me?
