For books, I have a few favorites that I reread fairly often in
between reading new books. I am an avid reader. Some of the list
includes Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, House of
Leaves, Lanark, The Magus, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, Terry
Pratchett novels, Neil Gaiman novels, Haruki Murakami novels,
Kafka, Dosteyevsky, etc. I'm very interested in magical realism
where things begin normally but then slowly start to fall apart or
change in absurd and interesting ways. I'm also interested in
post-World War II literature. I like sci-fi and fantasy. I just
wrapped up Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I've read Harry
Potter, Robin Hobbs, Alistair Reynolds, etc. Just finished The Man
Who was Thursday and One Hundred Years of Solitude. Starting The
Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and The Shadow of the Wind.
I like a lot of different movies. Christopher Nolan movies, Satoshi
Kon movies, Hayao Miyazaki films, Eternal Sunshine, Donnie Darko,
anything with a cerebral element to them. Hook, Speed Racer, Star
Wars, Scott Pilgrim. Anything that takes you out of your normal
world and into something fantastic.
For shows I like That Mitchell and Webb Look, The Daily Show,
Adventure Time, It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, anime like
Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc.
I love music like The National, Neutral Milk Hotel, St. Vincent,
Andrew Bird, Cass McCombs, old Wilco, LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead,
Pavement, the Books, Cornelius, The Rapture, TV on the Radio,
Grizzly Bear, Phoenix, Bon Iver, The New Pornographers, Mastodon,
Massive Attack, anything I can sing to. I want to go to a lot of
concerts this summer.

As for food I'll eat almost anything. I like Japanese food a lot,
noodle dishes, veggies, Indian food. But, I also love a good
burger.
