My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Basically, I'm a guy that's getting it together. I'm working full-time for a local company and getting all the certifications I can grab, but I've got even more ambitious plans on the back burner for this year. Generally I'm a pretty low-key guy, and I have a heavy sarcastic streak in my humor. I'm a nerd too: I've always been a gamer, a comic book fan, plus I'm a sucker for old 80s cartoons, and I intend to stay that way for a while.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Setting down some roots! I relocated to Manchester from the middle of Maine about a year ago now, and I've been immersing myself in everything since then. My job is in flux right now, as this year I'm beginning to step out of the grunt position I came down here for and into a more responsible and managerial position. I'm planning to work my way up with this company, and they seem eager to have someone who's excited about doing just that, which is a nice change.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mixing drinks (we just made one up called the Fizzy Rocketweasel), making people laugh, Super Mario Bros 3, and making movie references.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard sticks out like a sore thumb: it's bright red, despite the rest of my hair being naturally brown. I know, I know. I don't get it either.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books? Nic Kelman's "Video Game Art", most of Michael Crichton's library, my college Art History textbook, and this one Japanese book I have about the old Transformers.

Movies? I'm into comedies, comic movies, sci-fi stuff, and movies that are so bad it's hilarious. Some of my all-time favorites are The Jerk, Jurassic Park, Tropic Thunder, Zombieland, Army of Darkness, the original Spider-Man, Shaun of the Dead, all of the Transformers films (even the old school animated one from the 80s), and Iron Man.

I'm using the powers of Netflix to rewatch the American version of The Office, Arrested Development, The IT Crowd, and Burn Notice. I also thoroughly enjoyed Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, Robot Chicken, and How I Met Your Mother. Random trivia factoid: I have the Super Mario Bros Super Show on DVD...I'm still not sure why though.

My music tastes jump around a lot, but lately I've been splashing a lot more WFNX-friendly alternative into the mix (I recently started dabbling with Frank Turner and Kasabian). Normally, you'll find me listening to Silverstein, Say Anything, Zox, Social Distortion, Placebo, Black Lab, Butch Walker, Green Day or Test Your Reflex. I staunchly believe everybody should listen to "Make Yourself" by Incubus at least once, and I consider "Tragic Kingdom" by No Doubt the first album that really spoke to me. To get this out of the way though, I'm not a Beatles fan. Or an Elvis fan. Or a Zeppelin fan. Or a Hendrix fan. Or a Nirvana fan. Listen, I get that they changed the medium, and I certainly respect their contributions, but I'm just over hearing them.

Still there? o_O

My favorite foods are pizza, eel sushi, and pineapple. I think that about wraps it up.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, blank paper to sketch and doodle on, my Super Nintendo, cheap frozen pizzas, cold beer, and time to spend in front of a grill.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'm going to wind up. I've never really picked a direction before now, and just kinda drifted from one phase of my life to the next. I'm curious to see if having some more drive is going to make things smoother for me, or if I'm destined to wind up somewhere entirely different.

Also robots.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...usually hustling my roommates, trying to get them to come out with me. I'm still in the process of feeling out the area, and trying to establish a home bar. It's a little intimidating going alone some nights, but I'm working on making that happen more.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea who the other guy in that karaoke photo is.

You're looking for new people. I'm not looking to jump into anything immediately (not that I'm ruling it out), but I'm trying to meet people and get back on track. I get along with pretty much everybody, so feel free to drop me a line and say hi.
